McCarthy Says Dez Didn’t Catch It?

How is he not fired?

LOL. So he was asked about it? The press does tune in to the rabidity of fans, don't they? His answer was correct. Would be a great catch -- today, but wasn't then. You know, rules and stuff.

The more telling thing is the challenge was prompted by Steratore. Just doesn’t seem right.
That’s not what he said. McCarthy said he asked for an interpretation of the rule. He knew it wasn’t technically a catch by rule, but he wasn’t going to challenge unless he knew the ref knew the rule. All he said was the ref’s answer to his question is why he challenged it.

This was the only part of the event that impressed me. A thinking man, and shows why he’s been so successful on challenges.

Maybe with McCarthy we'll be on the winning side of things while the opponent cries about a no-catch for years. Wouldn't that be nice? I'm ready to move on from all that happened under Garrett. And it helped prompt a rule change anyways (along with a few others)

I'm over it.

How is the catch still something people even think about? Move on already.
It was the biggest moment of the Garrett years.
I still believe it was a catch, even by the 2016 rule book...………….but, whatever.

There were still 4 min left in the game, plenty of time for Aaron Rogers.

We would have still lost.
That's because we had the great JG and his great clock management skills.

It was a divisional playoff game that we probably would have lost anyways.

Why is this still a thing?

We basically got robbed of watching Aaron Rodgers march down the field on our defense and win.
