I know it looks like a pipe dream at this point, but if we got Brown and put Collins off tackle next to him, man that would be nasty inside.

Utah has been putting out some good DT's the past few years. I like the way Fotu comes off the ball, especially for a big man. He gets asked to two gap a lot, but when he gets to pin his ears back you can see he has some burst. Good upper body strength to shed offensive lineman. Throws them like ragdolls often. I felt he was just average at anchoring against the double team though. Sometimes holding up well but occasionally getting washed out. Only watched USC and Oregon games though.

Sharp has them at about even in YPC at left end and middle, but they gave up way more explosives on the left side (which makes sense, b/c Quinn sucks). The Cowboys gave up 13 explosive runs on 84 attempts at LT and outside, but just 15 on 147 between the guards on first and second down. Left end - 4.34
Left tackle - 3.91
Center/G - 4.42
Right Tackle - 2.78
Right end - 3.43

We were average or below average based on the numbers when defending teams running to their left side and up the middle but above league average when teams ran towards Lawrence's side (at least that's how I read the number).

That sounds right, it's closer to Sharp's numbers.

Collins is a disruptive off tackle who was asked to play over tackle. When allowed to play off, he's been pretty good. He can also be resigned for relatively cheap is my guess. Not sure how he's "overrated" though. I'm literally the only person in here suggesting this. He had four sacks while splitting time and playing out of position frequently. I'll take that as a rotational guy on the cheap.

Don't cherry pick. SF has more attempts, you said the run game doesn't matter, it was a passing league but SF has more runs than passes. Tell NE rushing doesn't matter as Henry ran all over 'em and they couldn't score from the 1 yard line.

Exactly what I've been saying. I think Collins will be cheap, which could make him the best option. If we can get Kinlaw or Brown in the draft and stick them next to Collins, that's a plus DT setup right there.
