Are you telling me we had an opportunity to draft Aaron Rodgers
Yes. Wow drafted before them so by your definition we passed him up. Deshaun and Mahomes were drafted before we picked. But chances are passed up a lot of superstars currently in the playoffs.

Players the Cowboys passed up on in the draft .I can’t help but wonder how many players are playing in the playoffs this season that we passed up on in the draft .

This is an issue for every single team. The only ones that truly hurt are the no brainer guys that unexpectedly fall to you and the team still passes. Taco over Watt, Hill over Thornhill. These are scenarios that even people that don’t follow the draft closely could have made the right decision on.

I imagine a bunch lol. I imagine you can say that about every team in the league.
This, of course.

Every single team can say the same thing.

The one that bothered me the most was the trade up for Mo Clai several years ago, but it's old news and every team has a few of those screw ups.

I get the OP's frustration though.
We've had a couple of doozies recently

Who would we have had to move around and up in the draft for?
Someone said we had an opportunity to get Aaron Rodgers. Although I’m a Prescott fan. I found that interesting. I’ve been a fan since the Day this franchise begin. Too many seasons too many games to remember everything. I have over 100,000 posts on the old form. Still learning Who’s Who here. We posted everything from how big is she too it’s hot out. Not much else to do in the off-season

Especially when we make nonsensical picks like Esco in the 2nd. Tyran Mathieu, KC, was still available.

I thought Thurston Hill was a waste. I was wondering in my mind if anybody was playing in the playoffs that we could’ve taken instead of him. Just curiosity my cowboy brother

Do you believe any of the players, who the Cowboys passed up in the draft, would have proven to be different makers in getting Dallas into this season's playoffs?

That’s a good question. First of all I need an answer to my question so I can contemplate that

Aaron Rodgers slipped almost out of the 1st for good reason. He was broken prospect. He sat for 3 years before playing

Yeah see the Mo thing is the bad one. Like people harp on TJ Watt.....I really could care less. They hit and miss. Its understandable there. But with Claiborne......they traded up and that's what hurt the most. It was fun trading up to get up there and get the best prospect in the draft but you have to know the risk in that. I don't believe corner is the position you trade up for like that.

Rodgers was the Romo era. Not the Dak era.

In reality they had Romo so it made no sense to draft Rodgers. But they technically passed him up.
