Well that was kind of implied.. like finally the last five years I thought we were kinda getting our **** together a little bit.. like 2016 was no doubt our best shot.

Despite moments of weakness.. our defence is WAAAAAY better than its been for the last 15 years.. it is actually at a level that we could sustain a tilt. Our running game and Oline are set and ready to go..

So all the pieces are there with decent special teams (clearly a priority) and great coaching (hopeful this new group is the answer) we are really close.. for mine the only remaining piece is the QB. Personally I don't think Dak is the answer.. his stats were gained against weaker opposition or in prevent defensive looks.. I haven't seen anything to suggest he can 'get it done' when we actually need it most. I think we could have success with Dak but NOT if we are forced to pay him 30% of the cap.. Dak at 25M is great.. dak at 30M is doable.. dak at the rumoured 40 he wants?? No chance.. we would lose to many assets around him.

So I am quite fearful of the future because we seem to be aggressively dealing with our other issues and moving into position to actually get back to the SB.. but for some reason they seem waaaaay too eager for a middle of the road QB.
Our defense doesn’t get turnovers. How is that good?

As if he didn't play poor competition in his previous years? This was a qb that people said couldn't sniff a 300 yard game. They said he couldn't read the field and go through his progressions also.

Im not celebrating his over all play this season. He still has a ways to go, but to say his supporters are stuck in 2016 is wrong.
I'm talking about this most recent year sir. Don't mix that up with the invisible people said this and that junk. Go take that argument to those people who said it. I didn't say it.

I said his supporters are stuck in 2016 and that's my opinion based on the fact he's been average since. You don't agree ok great but we are not changing the others mind so where do we go from here?

At no point did I say our defence was good.. it is just better than woeful which is where is sat for most of the last 15 years.

Our defence, whilst struggling for takeaways, was in the top half of the league.. with our offence it should have been good enough to go to the playoffs.

Our season was sunk by poor special teams and our offence bombed when it counted most. Primarily.. Dak stunk it up at key times against key teams.

So the defense letting Sam Darnold, KIRK Cousins, Carson Wentz, Josh Allen and Mitch Tribusky throw all over it didn’t contribute to losses. But Dak did?

How are they sold on him then? That doesn't really make sense to me. If you're sold on something/one you'd pay the going rate even if the rate is a little bit more than you thought it would be. That's what I've saw in relationships and purchases myself and others have done. Pretty sure you and others have saw similar.
You can be sold on Dak being a franchise QB but not wanting to pay him as the best in the league. Dak is capable of winning a ring or two for sure but not if you brake the bank and can’t afford the top players around him that he needs.

If he truly feels he is a top 3 QB in the league then he should absolutely demand that kind of contract. I’m sure he could get it somewhere, maybe even in Dallas, but he can’t act surprised if there is hesitation after failing to score a TD in a game for the division against a HORRIBLE Eagles pass defense. That should never happen to a top 3 QB when the defense is trotting out a preseason secondary.

Im talking about his most recent year as well. Hes shown improvement, his supporters didn't have to cherry pick games from 2016. He finished 2018 strong and had several great games last season. The whole 2016 nonsense is tired.

We go absolutely NOWHERE from here. Typically it starts to deteriorate and we begin insulting one another. I know we've partaken in such before, but Im not all that interested this time. No promises though, your move.

Im tired of insults online because there is no way to settle it online that offline there is. We disagree about Dak and that’s where it’s at. No need to have this discussion in the future either if I remember your screen and because I’m tired of going back and forth over something that isn’t changing either persons mind.

Dak seems to be respected like a God by some on this forum and by other fans. What exactly has he done to warrant this “God-like” praise? Why do people get so defensive when they criticize Dak? Makes no sense to me.

Because he is durable. That seems to be more important than actually throwing the ball.

I don’t understand how any rationale person out there can hear the Jones’s gush over Dak and not believe he’s absolutely they’re guy.
Especially practically everything Jerry Jones himself has said since September/October 2016. Then again, I would never considered Terrell Owens as being rationale either...

All the Dak haters deserve 10 straight years of Quincy Carter .

Right, because if we move on from Dak, we'll be back to the Quincy Carter days.

Absolutely zero chance of doing better at the QB position. It isn't possible to be better than what we have

It's either Dak, or Quincy Carter. That's the only other option
