Yep, he thought he would be next in line for the DC job after Rod retired after this year.

He didnt take into account the wheels coming off this year resulting in Garrett being fired.

i know people love him running around practice in cleats and his intense interviews but thank god. i now understand why seahawks fans were either saying "yay" or "whatever...who cares" when he left seattle.

A big fall after his arrival. I thought he started off well, but the split duties dynamic between him and Marinelli certainly didn't work. Add in the behind the scenes conflicts reported, and it adds up to someone not worth the trouble. By my math, this is two assistant coaches - Richard and Sanjay Lal - that were involved in rumored conflicts not just not being retained, but being fired with years remaining on their contracts.

Signed Maurice Linguist to coach the secondary. Was a Texas A&M assistant.

linguist is a huge upgrade. In the end tho, we still need a better scheme and players.

Might have done the worst coaching on the team this past season with O’quinn. He was in charge of the LB’s and DB’s and they sucked. Lowest interceptions ever I believe.

He did nothing of notice . Bad D , bad defensive drafts etc. It is a good sign that McCarthy is in charge .

I think the timing make it as it is McCarthy move but to tell you the truth change would have happened McCarthy or someone else.
