save your aggravation, let the new staff decide.

this is why i wanted to give the next HC lots of time. let them watch the videos, determine what they like, what they can use and what is at their disposal. the end.

there will be bumps along the way, but for the good of the team, let the new people decide. lots of time to evaluate and lots of time to talk things out.

i want to see everything they do, cut, add, draft, resign. i really dont care as long as their decisions. lets see what they produce.

This is why everyone said giving up the 1st round pick for a 1 1/2 year rental was dumb **. Even dumber to go into that season with no receivers thinking that terrible coaching staff plus dak would be fine. Now is when the pain comes and it'll set the franchise back a few years. You absolutely have to pay Amari now or you're even further behind. I think he can still be great if it truly was injuries hampering him the end of this year. He wasn't doing those insane cuts like earlier in the year. If you really don't like him, you start drafting potential replacements and trade Amari later on down the road to recover some lost assets.

There were so many quality receivers in recent years including a historic speed receiver class that Dallas didn't touch. Just terrible. DJ Moore, Sutton, DJ Chark, DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, Terry McLaurin already doin work. Ridley and Christian Kirk are ok. Deebo Samuel, Mecole Hardman, etc etc etc. And the Cowboys are sitting here with Connor Williams and Connor McGovern. Trash.

Good point......you almost have to pay Coop since we burned a 1st on him.

We have already pissed away 1st rounders on Taco and Hill, so we can’t piss away another on a one year rental in Coop.

You can’t burn 3 first round picks and have nothing but a scrub DT to show for it.

...Lets see if McCarthy can help fix this situation. I dont see both Dak and Coop getting signed. My money is on Dak.

They can’t keep Dak and not pay Cooper.. That is the problem..

It was a massive screw up not signing Cooper last year..

If Cooper is not playing well then Dak is not worth having.

Id go as far as saying that Cooper is the MVP of this team and as he goes we go.

I can't believe they traded a 1st for a guy they weren't willing to sign long-term. They traded 4-5 years of production from a 1st round pick (good or bad) for the opportunity to negotiate with a player that wasn't worth an immediate long-term deal.

Who does that?

cowboys fans want to do the same exact thing with jamal adams lol. now i admit jamal adams is a better player than amari, but there are legit questions about the value and impact of a safety and adams is going to want $15M a year minimum. i don’t get the fascination with trading first round picks away by this fanbase!

I love guys who watch games on their couches, eating cheetos and posting about football on message boards/social media calling professional athletes soft.

Agreed. I think that's just a player wanting to get on the field and not give out much info. I think it was Archer who reported he had a noticeable limp after the Bills game (there were only three games left). Something wasn't right.

Agreed. He didn’t look like the player we saw the first half of the season.

Eating chips is not a spectator sport. It’s not for the faint of heart.

I like Cooper, huge emphasis on like. I would have no issue franchising him but they better not give this dude top 3 money or even worse make him the highest paid wide out in the league. Sorry to say it, but Cooper is soft as Charming like Kobe once said. I don’t want a guy that takes himself out of games and plays soft when you need him most..hell no.

According to JG, Sanjay Lal was the one guilty of taking Cooper out of the game as the final minutes ran down. Still, he should realize that he didn't end the year in good form and be willing to take less than he might have had otherwise. We'll see what happens. He won't likely get top 3 pay, imho.

Cooper will be tagged worst case scenario.
Don't forget he has talent and we paid a # 1 pick for him.

I think they have to pay Cooper because that first round pick investment. Even drafting a rookie WR it still takes time for him to develop. The only issue is Cooper and his agent might over value him like Dak and his agent. Cobb is going to want to get paid Beasley money.

So give him a very lucrative contract that is entirely based on incentives...so if he sucks in road games, that contract drastically diminishes in value.

Playing through leg/foot injuries virtually all year isn't soft, it's actually the opposite. The Eagles are soft.

Guy was hurt half the year and started the year with a bad foot. We'd miss him badly if he went elsewhere IMO.
