Him allowing himself to be taken out the game is just as bad

You are the star receiver on the team and you allow a position coach, not the head coach, a position coach sub you out???
he should have stayed on the field. it was weak to just have gone to the sidelines.

Deebo had 3 for 42 and DK had 4 for 59 this year.

But that's not really the point. Are you saying that they are better than Cooper?

DK Metcalf on the year had 58 receptions, 900 yards, 15.5 yards a catch, and 7 TDs. Amari Cooper had 79 catches, 1,189 yards, 15.1 yards a catch, and 8 TDs.

I mean, if Amari is better, it's not by much.

probably not. but throw those two out of my list and he's not in the league with the rest I mentioned.

I disagree. What good is a contract if you are not going to uphold it? Zeke was threatening to not show up unless he got a new contract. If that is the business, then it is a terrible way to do business. What he did was selfish and handicapped the team.
Guys get cut all the time while under contract. But you know what they say, aint no fun when the rabbit got the gun.

Ok, so 1/3 of your list is bunk.

Not in a league with Thielen and Diggs? Lmao. That's just as poor of a take.

You don't like Cooper, that's fine. But at least be realistic about him.

I know Cooper was hurt, but what I do not know is how hurt he was which means I do not know how "soft" he was. If he was really hurt and was trying to tough it out for the team the last few weeks of the year, then I cannot really hold it against him and it would make sense as the performance for his entire tenure in Dallas before the final 6 games did not mesh with the final 6 games, but those final 6 games did seem to be after he had been knocked out for injury quite a bit.

Dak without Coop is not good, so if you dump Coop might as well dump Dak also.

I disagree with that kind of thinking. If you dump Cooper, then you have to direct an immediate investment in trying to get that new No.1 lead feature WR.
You don't just lay down and die and give up hope.

Dak really needs that true feature No.1 lead that he can count on to be an alpha male competitor. Not having two No.2 types on both sides.
Coop definitely has the skill set with his footwork, speed and run skills to be a lead feature WR.
But in terms of level of ultra competitiveness, that's where there tends to be in question.

The big challenge for us should we choose to move on from Cooper, is successfully finding that No.1 lead WR - via draft/trade/free agency.
Or you can vastly overpay for Cooper and risk possible continuation of ghost appearances that tends to follow him.

I dont trust in Cooper´s durability and when we play on the road, but I dont think we have another option this year.

I like him a lot. saved our season last year. but i'm not one who is prone to let emotions get the best of me. and two out of eight is 25%, not 33%. he said, just like dak, that he'd use the season to prove his worth. dak helped his position, cooper did not.

The last month of the season with a division title on the line, the dude disappeared. I won't be surprised or saddened by his departure.

Your opinion is entirely based on emotion b/c you think he's soft.

By every metric, he'd get top-3 money.

Does that metric factor in his disappearance in road games? Does Gallup deserve top 3 money as well?

Michael Gallup: 66 catches, 1,107 yards, 16.8 yards a catch, and 6 TDs

then upon what is your opinion based? his play when he was not hurt? forget the 8 games played on the road where he essentially did the houdini maneuver. I never mentioned him being soft. I mentioned he didn't show up for games and just left the field on the play that could have put us in the playoffs. a play supposedly called by a position coach.

I like Cooper, huge emphasis on like. I would have no issue franchising him but they better not give this dude top 3 money or even worse make him the highest paid wide out in the league. Sorry to say it, but Cooper is soft as Charming like Kobe once said. I don’t want a guy that takes himself out of games and plays soft when you need him most..hell no.

Out of everyone Dak and Coop will get paid there is no doubt in my mind

Nobody can cover him man-to-man. Go ahead and pick a metric I don't care. Then adjust for the fact that he had the worst offensive coaching in the NFL. He'd catch 130 balls in a lot of offenses.

"Just left the field" is calling him soft lol. He was pulled off by the coaches.

Throw in he was injured and I'll take him anytime. Also I'm sure the opposing D plans more to stop him than the other WR's who to me benefit from his ability to get open for a big play.

they can give cooper half of what an average #1 receiver should get since he completely disappears in every single road game. i think that’s fair!

but on a serious note i don’t think i will ever look at cooper the same after the eagles game and how he was ok with standing on the sideline with the season on the line because he didn’t want to make a fuss with the coaches. that is 100% inexcusable and kind of pathetic tbh.

this was the first major criticism of him that I agreed with. Huge fan, and have defended him quite a bit, but I just can’t wrap my head around that.
