Mariota 59% completions, Tannehill 70% completions - 59% is subpar by today's standards.

Yards per attempt: Mariota 7.5, Tannehill 9.6

So not only was Tannehll competing more passes they were longer throws. Mariota was not playing well.

Yes, Kellen Moore is better than Romo and is STILL the best quarterback in Dallas.
Part of that is Romo's fault for buying in to Garrett's ignorance.
No, you lie when you claim I said Choice was better than Emmitt- which is normal for you and your father, the devil.

Strike rate has been good the past 3 years - approx 1 in 3 NFL starting QBs are from these drafts.

But, what if you believe that you've upgraded the offense sooo much (OL, WR, RB) that it will never be better than 8-8 without a QB upgrade? Risk and reward go together.

Granted the rate of 1st round QBs that end up starting has been better the last 3-4 years, but how many of those have proven themselves to be better players than Dak, and how many were drafted as low as the 17th spot in the draft? I would say that of the QBs drafted the last 3 years, only Mahomes is dramatically better than Dak, and I would say Watson is better as well. All others are either in the same ballpark as Dak or less, and most took a higher draft pick than #17. If you don't have good odds of a notable improvement, then it would be hard to justify the risk.

I like the premise, but you're QB list is all backups at this point. I'd say Tannehill is the best option. Titans run game is so good, he doesn't even have to throw. But he can see the whole field and is accurate when he has to. He's seasoned and ready. I'd consider him an upgrade.
