interesting in this week 01/17/20 Friday's version of Whispers from the Star per Jean Jacque Taylor- Jam Session:

- Kellen may have had too many "voices' in his ear during his 1st year as OC when things wasn't going as planned. Speculation that Garrett (passive-aggressive) may have been one of them.
while McCarthy likes K-Moore as an OC, he could keep Kellen on a short leach.

- There was never any considerations regarding Witten immediately being the new full time TE coach, maybe he needs to 'earn his stripe' first s as he moves up the ladder as an asst. coach
elsewhere. (quality control?) should coaching for McCarthy be anything serious. and it was peculiar seeing Witten do a lap run around Cowboys Stadium.
Was it a farewell lap ? and BTW last year was his lowest number of recs-yrds since rookie yr.

- Brad Nusseinmeher the new QB coach has a lot of coaching experience, he knew McCarthy, they thought he was a flat better pure coach than Kitna, he's been around as an offensive asst.as an OC
involved and worked with QBs, and had familiarity with Dak, Kellen, and the success of the offense may have played a part in Brad getting promoted to QB coach, which forced Kitna out the door.

- Trysten Hill - coming from two sources when asked if Hill showed anything at the end: one source says he did not do a G-Damn thang.- Knock on hill coming out was immature, don't always play hard,
and this source says Hill was same guy at the end as he was at the beginning .... while another source says he actually showed maturity and he kept coming back, he showed some swag,

- of all assist coaches let go, Columbo seem to be most upset. Kitna waited to hear what will happen, while Columbo asked McCarthy to meet with him. He was very disappointed that he was not
retained per outstanding OL performance in '19. and McCarthy could not even look him in the eyes during their meeting; questioned team loyalty. .

I have no problem with Columbo being up-set...anyone would.
and equally, I have no problem with Big Mc picking who he wants to coach his o-line.
the previous staff had their shot.....its somebody else's turn now.

Same here. I wouldn't expect Colombo to be happy about getting fired. He was loyal to this team for years.

But on the other hand, as you said, McCarthy should get to choose his own guys, and Joe Philbin has coached offensive line for quite some time and is a very accomplished coach. And he will coach line play the way that McCarthy expects and wants it.

2019 is over and done with, MM is making the calls.
Who cares what happened it cant be changed.
Deal with it. No crying is going to change it.
its the changing of the guard, this is what happens when you fail and leadership has to put its big boy pants on.
we should all be happy JJ finally made a change, whether you liked the pick or not, hes here now, lets support him and the team, i did my fair share of complaining, now im on board. excited for the 2020 season hope you are too.
end of article.

Im willing to bet that a smart HC, that has full trust in KM, that he unleashes the full potential of this offense, not just dead stats, but actual playoff progressive stats.
I honestly feel that KM was hindered in his first year, and influenced in a way that handcuffed his true potential.
Lets hope that KMs mind, fully blossoms and he blows this offense off the charts under the new regime.

Interesting story about Columbo....wonder if it's true or not. Not too sure how reliable these "whispers" are.

As much as I hate to admit it, JJT is very comfortable with people/players inside the Star. I'd say 95% of his information is accurate.

I do believe the story about Columbo. Who would want to comfortably look him the eye and tell him he's out. I wouldn't.

We'll find out about Hill. He has time and motivation (new coaches) to get his act together.

This is an interesting take regarding Columbo. One thing in which he needs to understand is at the end of the day and the team loyalty was with the last regime, and not the current one.

If he was coaching a scheme outside of what our new coach is wanting to implement then "team loyalty" shouldn't have anything to do with him being kept if he isn't the right fit for the scheme being implemented.

Un****ing believable. Our first round pick yall

At this point, from everything I have read and seen, he's a total bust until further notice. And I don;t believe a word that "2nd source" said because I saw nothing to indicate that any of it was true.

Whereas we all saw that he wasn't active on game-days, didn't do anything when he did play, and there were multiple reports about being late and falling asleep.

A bust until he proves otherwise.

Reminds me of another Hill (Rod) who never lived up to his potential. Like I said, there is still time as long as he's motivated improve under the new regime.

I think he gets to go to training camp to change his story and future, nothing more. This new coaching staff didn't select him, they're not tied to him, and they don;t have to put up with him. Shape up or ship out!

It would be so huge if they can get hill to be what he’s capable of. He has some skills but will he have the heart and desire
He could be a huge addition or a camp cut

Just shows how little DD we do on players. Its like our scouting department watches tape and looks at a stat sheet to make decisions. If the guy is lazy and difficult to coach, why would you draft him that high? This was a bad pick from day 1. We would draft better if we fired the scouting department and just went with the consensus internet opinion.
