Star Wars: TRoS

Honestly, it's just not good enough. The trilogy wasn't mapped out ahead of time so the story told in the final chapter simply does not fit at all and retcons and screws up a bunch of the original trilogy.

Fun watch, just don't think too hard: 6/10

I was really excited to see Uncut Gems but came close to getting up and leaving, several other people did leave before it ended.

But I hung in to see how it ended and that made it all even worse. It was long, drawn out, loud and irritating at times. I feel like it could have been so good with some subtle changes

It's an A24 movie...I feared this would be the case.

Finally watched Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and enjoyed it. Although it could've benefited from adding to the run time to help with pacing. Director J.J. Abrams was given the arduous task of finishing the movie before the scheduled release date after Colin Trevorrow was fired over creative differences and Rian Johnson deviated from the trail of breadcrumbs previously laid out. The result is more of a hit than a miss. Different directors for each movie would've worked better if Star Wars had Kevin Feige to maintain a cohesive vision throughout. If you enjoy Star Wars, then grab some popcorn and enjoy.

6 Underground, Netflix. 8.5/10 Really enjoyed this and hope there are others coming with this cast. Some great lines in it and the stop downs from the action were needed so I could regroup for another run.

Dragged Across Concrete. 4/10 This moved at a snail's pace, by design, and with Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn, this should have been better.

Finally got to see Joker 7/10

Gotta say I really enjoyed watching De Niro's brains getting splattered even if it was only make-believe. :):):)

Thriller on Netflix - do NOT waste your time on this movie. The only way I could see someone liking this movie is if they were a part of it or where a relative to someone who was part of it. Acting, direction, story...all bad.

Awake on netflix - not bad, could have been a great deal better. Idea of it was kind of interesting but it could have been done much better. Acting was not bad just seemed to lack a good deal.

Zoom on netflix - bit of an older movie with Tim Allen, Chevy Chase and Courtney Cox. Good for a night with the family. Comedy with the idea of kids with powers being trained to be a super team with Tim Allen being a former hero.

A friend recommended this to me and it took me 3 attempts to finish it.

Ad Astra: Do not watch. Boring, convoluted, not interesting, bad storyline. One of the few movies I'd give a 1 to.

Gemini Man: Entertaining. 6. Not great, not horrible.

John Wick 3. I don't know if I've ever seen so many people killed on screen.
The first John Wick was excellent. The 2nd one blew chunks. I'm not even sure the makers of the movie understood why the first one was good.

It sounds like I should skip the 3rd one.

I thought two was much better than three. I paid for it but it is best to wait until it is free

Going back and forth from various scenes of Godfather 1-2. Each night during dinner for days now though ...it’s fun. Like I only like to watch the Deniro early NYC scenes in 2,or with particular emphasis on 1 where Sonny beats up his in law in street with a garbage can lid. I’m not bad myself being beat up or dying scenes...traditional dirty urban alleys with a dumpster are more my speciality,or the classic gut punch by two heavys against a wall, but I highly admire the can and lid work in this one. Brilliant device...bravo,bravo!!

Worst missed punches I've ever seen on film. I love The Godfather films but I still can't believe that they left that in and didn't reshoot the scene.

Capitalizing on the buzz and not even bothering trying to take it anywhere but to a next one to make money. But if you like a good shoot'em up, he does shoot'em up. There are no closing credits or music, he killed them all.
