Rate the last movie you saw

Worst missed punches I've ever seen on film. I love The Godfather films but I still can't believe that they left that in and didn't reshoot the scene.
Oh of course they would have liked to. But that’s part of the whole reason now what makes it classic,it’s great fun. I get up and do the garbage can scene...”..is that what you want garbage? I’ll show ya garbage ...roll over you ...I’ll give you the garbage can..and the filthy container lid to it....bam!”

Parasite

8/10

Korean film about a poor family that slowly starts living in a rich family’s under the guise of being a tutor, driver, housekeeper, et cetera.

Angel Has Fallen 0/10

I hadn't seen the others in the trilogy, but watched it on an airplane. Terrible acting, dialogue, plot, etc. Some action sequences were pretty good.

Morgan Freeman phoned it in. Lots of ill placed humor. It was worse than I thought.

I heard someone say something about a TV show called The Outsider or something and said it was very good.

I looked on Netflix and thought I found it and had some time to burn so I watched it. (it was Movie, not a TV show)

The storyline coming together made little to no sense as stuff played out in a very unbelievable way. (Sons of Anarchy started the same way, but it turned out good anyhow)

Anyway. Main character looked believable in the beginning, but once clean shaved he didn't. That said, for a time burner, the movie was okay. Nothing to write home about though.

3 of 5.

Netflix The Outsider trailer

Bad Boys for Life - I am a huge fan of the first, and enjoy the 2nd on some levels (more for the comedy than the action). The trailers for this made me kind of cringe, and, with a January release, I was not expecting much. Turns out it was pretty damn good. Missing a little of Bay's flare on the action, but outside of that, it had the humor and heart of the best parts of the series. There were actual stakes to the story, which surprised me. This is easily better than the 2nd one, though I'll still prefer the first. With the awful music in the trailers, I was afraid the score/soundtrack would be a huge issue with the movie, but it was actually pretty solid, and in some places incorporated the excellent score from the first. I was happily surprised.

Sam, there is a different Outsider, Stephen King, on HBO. I started recording it but haven't watched it.

Joker 9/10

Was a dark movie. But Phoenix nailed that role and it was a good origin story.
Liked certain questions left unanswered or fully uncovered. The delusions Fleck had etc...

I went and saw Richard Jewell today. 8 / 10

It is sickening what the FBI and media did to him and the people around him. Anything to be the first to break a story and sell papers.

Thought the casting and acting were really strong as well, could really feel his pain.

Agree with your rating of it. It wont get great reviews because it does portray the media and FBI in a bad light which are currently heroes to the Hollywood crowd. Its a story that should be told and glad that an innocent un-glamorous person was vindicated

I watched a lot on the airplane to London and back

BookSmart: Enjoyable. Girl coming of age movie. 97% RT. High school comedy and some serious content. They did a good job of mixing things up where it wasn't as traditional as some of these can be. A fun watch...9/10

Good Boys: Another coming of age movie but middle schoolers and raunchy. From the guys that brought you Superbad. The 3 actors in it were all hilarious. It kind of scared me with 7th and 5th Grade girls...lol. But I laughed a lot. 8/10

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood : Pretty good. I thought Leo and Pitt both were excellent. Love Margot Robbie. Got a little too slow in parts but overall satisfying. Not my favorite Quentin movie but good stuff...7.5/10

Long Shot: Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen. Honestly, this was supposed to be something I just watched to pass the time BUT I really flipping loved it for a romantic comedy. Maybe it is because she was so ridiculously hot in this while being funny. I was surprised. 8.5/10

It's good - we are 3 episodes in. I haven't read the book so I'm trying to wrap my head around it right now - but enjoying it.

Long Shot was surprisingly good, if not somewhat predictable. But her character wasn't what I was expecting, in a good way.

Dr. Sleep. 7 of 10. Good not great.

Loved Rebecca Ferguson as Rose the Hat. Like an evil version of 1970's Stevie Nicks

I watched Harriet Last night. I love the story but I was not overly impressed with the movie. I thought the actors were more in the "hey I am acting" instead of feeling they were they embraced the characters. Felt a little disjointed in the action as well. Anyway, it was better than a lot of movies out there. 7 out of 10 for me.

Finally got to see Joker 7/10

Gotta say I really enjoyed watching De Niro's brains getting splattered even if it was only make-believe. :):):)

saying this (even in half jest) about possibly the best and definitely one of the most thoughtful actors of our time says more about you than him

1917 - 4/5 stars. The movie is one continuous scene......pretty effective. Worth seeing. Great sets depicting the trench warfare.

Marriage Story: 6/10. Great acting, but I didn't really get the movie. I don't understand the hype.

Doctor Sleep: 7/10. Good acting, decent plot. The way the director tied it into the books and the Kubrick classic was really commendable.

Midsommar: 6/10. Again, good acting, but not a great plot. Pacing isn't great, either. Interesting story, though.

Hype? I've never even heard of it until now. lol

I saw Joker...i probably give it a 7/10.

It was okay but man i didn't expect the Academy to give it so much love. I guess it's one of those Leonardo Dicaprio moments in where they are finally going to give Phoenix an Oscar.
