Corso, he demanded to be paid the best so that’s the standard we hold him to and he came up short in more ways than one.

He had the 2nd most carries yet was 4th in total yards and that was running behind the 2nd best run blocking O line in the league. The 3 running backs ahead of him had the 4th, 11th and 17th best run blocking O lines. Fournette played one less game, had 35 less carries, and averaged .2 less ypc behind the 27th “best” run blocking line in the league.

I see guys like McAffrey running all over the field on longer passing routes and never heard of him tapping out. I saw Henry bust off 30+ yard runs and jog back to the huddle like he was taking a stroll through Central Park. People want Zeke to be more involved in the passing game yet he can’t handle running the ball and standing there throwing a block between running plays.

Zeke’s talk and ego is bigger than his noggin which is almost impossible to believe. One of the worst contracts in Cowboys history. I can’t wait for this chump to be off our roster.
I'm not quite as down about Zeke as you are, but he's a big part of the reason we didn't make the playoffs. He had just a couple of games last year where he looked like he cared and was a difference maker. I feel like he has just incredible talent, but is more worried about living the party life than football.

The leaders of the team should be crazy passionate about being on the field. Emmitt didn't tap out with even one arm dragging behind him because he couldn't imagine not being out there when they needed him. And in turn his teammates couldn't imagine letting him down during that performance. That's how you win in the playoffs. Zeke hasn't shown that passion to me.

Zeke is hungry and wants to eat. Feed Zeke.

MM will get KM on the same page and use the running game better than last year.
But then again we really did not see how KM could truly use Zeke, when the defense sucked and they had to play from behind all the time.

Im sure they will feed Zeke if he deserves to be fed. Otherwise, if he plays like he did the first half of last year, I hope they feed Pollard.

I'm counting on MM to mesh his devised of running the ball with Kellen.
I'll found the video (per Voch Lombardi) i'd like to show as example of how it gonna be more exciting plan and scheme as
compared to the Kellen/Columbo run version, which was just way too much/too many shotgun-RPO, imo.

and I've concluded that zeke runs more effectively when he can get the deep handoff from QB under center and get a early vision and head of steam
towards the line vs these shotgun draw-handoffs.

And the run game may be versatile under MM with both inside and outside on the edges vs just middle blasts.

If he needs to count to ten I need to count to 100. I bet Zeke couldn’t take a deep breath, hold it, and count past 10 for several reasons. One, he probably can’t count that high, two he would get winded at 5, three he’s a mouth breather and would probably try to breathe through his nose when they told him to take a deep breath.
Is this supposed to be funny?

Why do you hate Zeke so much? Did he steal your girl or something? This is absurd.

I saw a stat on play action that was pretty cool
We was 7-1 in games with 29% or more play action
That’s a very good reason to run more play action and makes you wonder why we didn’t in the other 8 games or Atleast some of them
We didn't run it more b/c Jason Garrett sucks.

It is absolutely that simple.

Start? No. Start, continue and finish.
That's the ticket.

Let's be predictable.

There should not be run first or pass first philosophy.

The philosophy should be to determine the weakness of the defense you are facing and attack it. You may run the ball 40 times in week one, then pass it 40 times in week 2.

This run the ball fist, last and always is so Jason Garrett.

Lol...steal my girl, now that’s funny! That would be the last thing I would be worried about, maybe hit her or steal her purse, but steal her? Not his type.

Zeke has been nothing but a headache whiny diva bully chump since draft day. Do I really need to go into details of why he’s akin to a piece of animal excrement? Have you been living under a rock since 2016 (or before if you followed him in college) to know why he’s not only a liability to the team but a punk off the field?

If he didn’t have a star on his helmet most of the posters here would agree but instead of being “blinded by the light” they are “blinded by the star” which he is an embarrassment to and I’m not afraid to call out players whether they play for the Cowboys or not. I can’t think of a bigger distraction we’ve had on this team in the past decade, probably two.

Or because Zeke couldn’t handle the workload and because the defense sucks and you can’t play catch up running the ball...it’s that simple.

Zeke had best hope that MM and his counterparts are respectful of the running game -- let's face it, it's his handle to survival. He'd better also respect the fact that he must be extremely attentive to maximizing his skills, because if he fails to do so, he could also become a fond memory of the past. o_O

Fact alert!

We ran 301 times with Zeke. That's 2 off the league lead.

Add in another 86 from Pollard and the claim that we aren't running is pretty much dead.
true we were 5th overall in rushing yards/..

however could have been more as Zeke led the league in the first half run yards but hardly used in a lot of losses in the 2nd half..they basically abandoned the run..not zekes fault but the playcallig was suspect in the 2nd halfs so hey Moore you best have a better feel for this as Dak isnt Mahomes , stop calling plays like he is.. we were 8-8 because of a lot of coaching mistakes and thats one of them..

This post says more about you than it does about him.

Lol, ok. It says a lot about me because I’m vocal and dislike a guy who bullies people, consistently puts himself and therefore his team at risk, sits out of pre season practice with his teammates while demanding to be the highest paid for his position with two years left on his contract, wants to be “fed” the ball but taps out when the team needs him most and is anything but a team leader on or off the field.

I’ll only assume you meant that statement as a compliment. Thanks!

He got paid, I’m not so sure he cares that much. If he did, he would have at least been at training camp last year practicing with his teammates while quietly letting his agent negotiate behind the scenes. Instead he flew back and forth to Cabo while his teammates were training together in CA and that was BEFORE he was paid.

I think not have a full offseason with the team set Zeke back last year. Hopefully with no contract issues this year he’ll look more like Zeke. Need to see more of the burst through the hole. I would also like to see more fire from him. Same with Amari.

I don’t really agree w zeke, yea sure he’s gonna feel like the run game is important. Obviously the past 10 years didn’t work you can’t just line up and tell them your gonna run and that’s all it takes. Like if Dallas ran the ball a little better that’s the missing link. Also ha, what’s the coach gonna say? Yea man we’re gonna run the ball.

The thought of a Cowboys offense built around the O line and Zeke does not make me feel warm and fuzzy like it did his rookie year. Every year since then has pretty much been disappointment one way or another. If his play yards per carry drops again next year it will be time for some serious concern. Not sure what we have seen that would make anyone think that an upward tick is expected.
