Dak to Chris Sims, I'm working on getting rid of bad throwing habits

He was better this year at not holding on to the ball for so long. His accuracy is maddening sometimes, missing easy throws with wrs that are so wide open. I don't know if you can teach accuracy but that's my main concern with his.
His main problem with accuracy is throwing slightly behind receivers crossing the field, and that's a timing issue that can be worked on. That's not to say he doesn't occasionally miss a receiver on other routes, but every QB does.

He did get better at connecting with Gallup on the long ball in comparison to 2018. Dak is the type of guy that is going to work hard and get better

But as long as he keeps working, it'll all become natural.
i would like to believe that .... but i don't think someone who is has to train their body to do so differently from what they have grown up doing is going to reach a point where its natural. when everything is right, the trained action functions well. when mental or physical stress is introduced the natural tendencies take over.

This is good news. If he knows what he needs to fix, I think he can do it. Tiger Woods changed golf swings several ties in h is career and the golf swing is much more complicated than the football throwing motion. You can see the difference in Dak's 1st 10 games of the season to that spell late in the season where his accuracy fell off a cliff. You can see clearly when he is not in position to throw. and you can see the resulting inaccuracy. The question is why does this breakdown sometimes? He needs to work on that, and if its mental, that may be harder to overcome than the physical breakdowns.

Yeah, he’s only going into his 5th season as starter. He should already be where he needs to be. He will never be on target as much as he should and we want him to be.

This part is absolutely true, IMO.

Beginning to show up on the field?

This will be his 5th year correct?

Great because about the time he figures it out it will be time for him to retire.
They aren't just beginning to show. He can still improve, but it's not as if he has been bottom of the barrel and is just showing something for the first time.

He's better than most. Good enough for me. If the rest of the team was doing the same, it wouldn't be the off-season.

He's better then about half and a lot of those guys he is better then would be as good as him in this optimal environment.

Don't blame the rest of the team. The rest of the team is what carries us to victories. Dak is just along for the ride.

If he was better it wouldn't be the offseason. Our roster was stacked... Our offense was a no show in too many games this year and sometimes you need your QB to create a spark instead of just taking what the defense is willing to give up.

Once Amari slowed down the entire team went to crap.

He was better overall from last year from the year before. A lot of the improvement is obviously in his footwork and you could see it early on in the season this year. As this season progressed, he seemed to slip back into his funky footwork with off-balance throws that he and the team paid for in the end.

just fix the crossing route issue and things will be fine. The receivers certainly could have helped him out a bit more. Led league in dropped passes
You are right that our Wrs led the league in drops but I would like to know what constitute a drop? Is it hitting them in the hands or Wr reaching back trying to catch it from a pass thrown behind them. I hope Dak does improve especially his accuracy because it was not good last year on those crossing routes.
