Football fans like the idea of more football. But do they really want more football? The next experiment begins in only two days. The XFL is back, after a 19-year absence. Fueled by the reality that people who will be placing legal sports wagers will need more sports on which to wager plus an investment [more]

It's football.. I'll give it a try.

I will say that, though I don't think there's really an appetite for lower quality football, the XFL is at least doing some unique/different things that should make it more entertaining.

The AAF was horrible b/c it just tried to be a worse version of the NFL. The XFL is pivoting from that some, and at least initially should be more entertaining than other leagues.

Me and my friend are betting $5 a week on which teams will win, who ever is more right gets the money. Not a lot of money but it makes all the games more interesting to watch! We talked so much smack to each other during the nfl playoffs

i’m tired of football now after the super bowl and college. now i am more interested in basketball and baseball spring training start this month. also hockey is going on. they need to make these other football leagues start later...after the nba and nhl seasons and before training camp or something maybe.

Not much real interest right now.

Wait for reviews.

They didn’t embrace it the first time and I doubt they will now. There’s too much football as there is with the NFL. We have three games on Sunday, a game on Monday night and another one on Thursday night. NFL ratings have gone down some. Fans don’t want to watch lower quality players which is why these leagues keep folding. Most of the players in these leagues consist of castoffs from the NFL or players that were never good enough to make the NFL. As much as I love football you need a break from it after an NFL season. With TV being a 24 hour marathon of programming with hundreds of channels there’s too much programming to sit around watching scrubs that aren’t good enough to make an NFL roster during the NFL offseason.

I'll watch a big name like Johnny Manziel or something like that but if Landry Jones is the best they can do then i'll pass.

They already said they weren't interested in Kaepernick and I would think that is the guy they would want to go after to get some attention.

I'll at least check it out. I was disappointed that they're not bringing back the Memphis Maniax, my fav XFL team from before. I thought it was cool how they had goofy names for teams like the New Jersey Hitmen.

XFL games will be shown on ABC, ESPN and Fox. That’s at least one leg up but the XFL will only survive if it’s entertaining enough to keep the attention of casual fans. I just don’t see the league attracting the viewership of enough hard-core NFL fans.

"The X F whosamawhat now?"

maybe Dez may have an interest- be part of his audition for NFL return.

lance dunbar in this league too. but its' likely to be no different than the last XFL run. What's changed ?

it needed to be Arena league like - prompted to be high- scoring, otherwise ratings and attendance gonna be crap ...again !
