It would not hurt the Cowboys at all to bring Dez back for training camp and see what he can (or not) do during the preseason.

Bring Dez in. See how he performs at his age during mini camp, training camp and preseason. If he shows improvement from his last years, sign him up to a 2 year team friendly veteran minimum contract. If he doesn't look good, simply cut him before the regular season starts.

At this point he has a better chance then Dak

Wishful thinking. Jerry & Son aren't going to let Dak get away. They'll cave, just as they did with DLaw and Zeke.

Then we'll pretend to be surprised 12 months from now when another season has been flushed down the toilet.

I’m interested how Dez would look on this team with the receivers we already have. Dak has gotten better since he was last here and it couldn’t hurt to see what he could do. He had some nasty play with us!
Maybe having the year off has helped with his durability. IfI remember correctly, he had a couple leg injuries with us before the Achilles thing, no?

I wish Dez nothing but the best & thank him for some of the most greatest catches I've ever seen. He was exciting to watch wearing the star.

He and Witten and Romo were for years our whole team.

People that hate him are just confused.

They should be hating themselves for believing the snake oil Jerrah sold us for all those years.

It wasn't Dez's fault about his contract. Jerrah gave it to him freely.

It didn't work out. But the bile and vitiol..that is beneath us as loyal fans of the team.

I have begun now to see here on the Forum the same sort of screaming about Witten, another All Time Cowboy headed for the Hall of Fame.

Frankly you guys are starting to turn my stomach about this never ending dialog of negative opinions on some of our legendary best players who have contributed to our popularity so much.

Enough already.

Dez putting in work trying to make a comeback. I wish he had this same dedication earlier in his career. Imagine how good he could have been if he combined a work ethic with his natural ability.
Agree with this but he still deserves a chance here. Randall Cobb can kick rocks.

Go Dez.

I believe you could be Comeback Player of the Year if you get on the field.

I believe Dallas at least owes you a tryout if only to decide your status. If it is not for them
..then for some other team to evaluate.

As our greatest WR in history, you are owed that.

You guys with your Dez hate make no sense to me. If you want to hate Dez,fine. But remember Jerrah loves him.

Don't be surprised if Dallas does give Dez a closed secret workout to make their own decision.

We'll see.
Greatest receiver in our history? Man, you need a swift slap upside the head...

And I mean that in the kindest way. Maybe it will reverse the damage from that incident with the mule hoof to the head.

Barring re-injury Dez will be on an NFL roster Week 2 at the latest this coming season.

Oh the myth of the Week 2 contract.

A curse all those who don't understand vested veteran status must endure.

He had a broken foot in 2015 and a leg injury in 2016. His big issue that he has talked about pretty often is his mental health though.
