$10 million a year would be my top offer to a good cornerback who isn't a game-changer.
They already did that with Carr, at best a CB2.

One thing that always happens, without fail, when the bidding starts, we will be shocked with what some of these players will get. It is not as much a value situation as how much they have to spend. Some of the players have been the beneficiaries of teams needing to get up to the required cap. Catch a team needing to get up to cover that 3 year requirement and a player can make out like a bandit, especially it that player is form a rival or a rival is eying him.

The Skins released Norman, might they be in the market for a CB1? Or are they looking at Akudah instead of Young?

This board doesn’t like Byron Jones because he didn’t have 2 or 3 interceptions a season so they deem him not good because of that.

I’m sure Jordan Lewis will have those 2 or 3 INTs they are looking for when he’s getting targeted all game.
And will be giving up 8 or 10 TDs.

IMO Jones is a very good player and we'll miss him.

not sure but this is my vivid memory of byron and 2 picks. I hope we can sign him but if we have to lose one of the 3 this is the one

It’s ok Byron is a good player but if Dallas was really wanting to retain him they would have did it last season rather than letting another team set his bar for Dallas to counter. When it comes down to the wire having a contract with team clauses becomes less friendly with incentives and more spaced out with a large amount of years.

This is what happens when Jerry pays certain other players #1 overall league position top pay. There is no room to keep the Byron Joneses of the team.

You mean like how they are going to pay your boy toy? There won't be room to pay anyone that deserves getting paid. See how you just contradicted yourself? smh-lol

They are not going to pay Dak #1 position leaguewide pay.

byron would be a real headache for dak.
some people seem to think keeping cooper is actually a better option.

just look at ther market , no one is asking for cooper because they know he is not worth the money his agent is asking for.

You pay what’s needed or use the FT. It makes it so you don’t have to spend a 1st on a CB this year.

So do you not pay Quinn and use a first on a DE. Do you not pay Collins and use a first on a DT. How about the other DT position. Do you not pay Dak and use a first on a QB. Do you not pay Amari and use a first on a WR. How about both Safety positions. Let’s not forget about the other LB position.

It’s not has easy as you are making it out to be.

Lmao dude there will 100% be someone brought in if BJ leaves. Whether via FA or the draft. I’d take aqib talib on a 2 year deal and draft CB’s in the next 2 years. Easy transition
Everyone always says crap like this but there are 31 other teams in the league constantly going after proven talent like Talib, the Cowboys haven't really brought in a big name free agent since the 90's and Talib is getting old

If you're talking about paying $15 - $17 million a year so Bryon Jones can get 0 interceptions, and you can continue to lament your defense "not getting turnovers", you're insane.
I don't care how many turnovers he has - he's a lock down corner. Awuzie and Lewis struggle against #2 and #3 WRs, you think they'll magically get better covering #1 receivers?

I'm very familiar with the general consensus of the board, but that's just pure ignorance. It's hard to get picks when QBs aren't throwing to your side of the field very often.

People get so wrapped up in stats and don't watch the game and understand what's going on. Just like idiots that are high on Robert Quinn, the guy sucks vs the run and screens and made this defense so much worse but hE hAd sO mAnY sAcKs
