Why bring romo up? Looking for excuses for your dak (that’s usually what the dak defenders do)

if I was dak I would be doing exactly what he is doing, for right now anyways. And it may come back to bite him in the *** if the cowboys don’t tag him (which they shouldn’t).

if I was the cowboys, I’d do exactly what they have done so far as well. As a fan of the team, the last thing I want to see is run the same qb we had last year back out there with even a $5m raise, much less $35m. I’ll be an upset fan if they get him for $12m a year, that’s way too big a pay raise for what he does.

they need to let him walk and then we can all watch and see which of these mystical teams thinks dak is worth $35m dollars a season. Dak is basically Colt McCoy in the nfl, he is just another guy

You only answered one part of the question. It has more to do with ulterior motives, than Dak himself.

Wasn't me that named it "America's Team". You're nitpicking about terminology rather than popularity, so let's leave that, then.

It's one of the most valuable franchises in ALL of sports, let alone NFL. If you think that doesn't shed light on the players, than you are just FOOLing yourself. OF COURSE and endoresee would look to the Cowboys first.

Apparently you are trying to argue with me about if Dak should take less money or not. Fervently. Not my point and I don't care if he gets less or more money. But cut the crap that a popular Cowboy wouldn't be one of the top choices for an advertiser.

How many endorsements, does Witten have? Zeke? Dez? etc... And, you do care about his money, or you wouldn't have made that statement.

Thanks for clarifying that.
We lost 4 games that year, first 2 he missed, 1 when he went out with an injury against the falcons and the fluke Miami Snow Leon Lett game so....yeah, single handedly in football a little hard to say but pretty close.

Emmitt played behind arguably the greatest OL in NFL history and even he would say he didn’t win games single handedly. Those 90s teams had great talent but he was the catalyst.

if Dak is tagged, Cooper is gone. He needs Cooper. Rumored Eagles, Saints have him high on list.

He doesn't come back to that team they don't make the playoffs let alone the Super Bowl. Theres a reason he won MVP after missing the first 2 games.

Which is exactly why Jerry caved in and paid him.

Emmitt is arguably the best player in NFL history, we can at least agree he's one of the best, so why are people going to dismiss what he's saying? His voice trumps aikmans and whoever elses that may say something on the other side.

No sir I do NOT care about the money. I have no control over it anyway. Stop making ASSumptions just to argue. It's unbecoming. And counterproductive to an adult discussion.

Witten and Zeke have had endorsements. Not sure about Dez or whatever other "etc" you are talking about. Zeke isn't helping his cause any, with suspension/cop trouble, and it's part of what Emmitt was trying to tell Dak.

You really don't know much about content, context, or construct.

You must not have a smartphone. With a smartphone I rarely use my computer anymore.
I have a smart phone, just don't use it for the internet. During the day, I'm too busy w/ jobs and employees to have time to get on the internet, and my computer serves me well when I get home. Simply haven't had the need to use my phone in that way.

He shouldn’t be telling a player to take a discount on their first contract extension when he didn’t take a discount on his first contract extension. A second contract is an opportunity for a player to set themselves up financially for life. What was different was there was no cap back then but the point I’m making is the cap hasn’t stopped players from holding out for more money. Emmitt would have still held out regardless if there was a cap or not.
You were wrong. End of story.

It’s not a discredit to the other players but the fact is Emmitt was named the MVP of that SB. Is it a discredit to the other players to single out one player as the MVP? Not trying to take anything away from the defense but Emmitt took over that game in the third quarter. That’s my opinion if you disagree fine. It’s not worth having a big debate over.
