Apparently all the aging players nearing the end of their career want to rejoin Garrett with the Giants.

Would we get a comp pick for him if he leaves? If so, sign him cheap or get the comp pick, either is fine with me.

Probably a crap comp pick like end of the 6th round, or end of the 5th at best.

Or nothing as the team signs free agents.

Veteran linebacker Sean Lee would "welcome the opportunity" to sign with the New York Giants if not brought back by the Dallas Cowboys.

I hope he and Witten both sign with the Giants and they both fizzle out and have to retire.

Yeah. I know.

But I don't hero worship and I am kind of petty.

go to new york Sean Lee. Linebackers are a dime a dozen, injured linebackers like Sean Lee cost more.

So there’s no actual quote from Lee....and the article’s source is “an individual familiar with Sean Lee’s thinking”.

or more accurately, the source is "an agent of Sean Lee who will make six figures if Lee plays next year instead of retiring" .

Unless he gives a home town discount I'd send him a farewell shout out.
He gave us a home town discount last year when he volunteered to restructure his deal, making more than half of it pure incentives. He saved us around $5m in cap space

how many times does he need to do that? How many millions should he give back before you are on with it?

Last time I checked no other Cowboys offered to give up money.

I’m not a Sean Lee fanboy but jeezus, give the guy a break.

If you have been around this site for a while, Sean Lee missed all of 2014 with an injury and most of the posts in the offseason were "get rid of this bum" or "he's made of glass".

He actually did come back the next year and actually wasn't made of glass. He came back and made the Pro Bowl in the two following seasons in 2015 and 2016.

His best days are behind him but if he will take the money and the role offered by the team it would be insane to not bring him back.
