In this play Dez is looking to his inside for the ball.

DAKs pass is drifting across Dez's face and Dez has to look to the left. The throw is short and late and the DB recovered.

We saw Dak throw this all last year. Cannot lead a WR, throws behind them and the DB knocks it away.

As a Dez hater, you sure know how to prove your case. Hope you are not a prosecutor attorney. You are a much better Public Defender.

:hammer:
It went right off his hands, if Bryant is as remotely skilled as you think that's a rather basic reception regardless of all your excuses.

Also, you and others mention he could be a good no. 3.
How? He doesn't have the body type or the route running ability for the slot.

The funny thing is that they argue against what his strength is supposed to be just to shield him from criticism. Dez is supposed to be able to make tough, physical catches. If he can't be expected to make that catch, then he doesn't have anything to offer the team. We don't need to hear about how he would be a red zone threat because he's physical and can make tough catches including back shoulder throws.

They all drop passes. Here is Amari, http://www.nfl.com/m/share?p=/video...r-drops-critical-deep-pass-late-in-regulation.

So I know this is going to tweak a few Forumites here..

But with no live sports to watch, we have to remain entertained.

There are some interesting points here and some footage of Dez with Patrick Mahomes working out together that make you go..

Hmmmm...

Yeah, uh, I doubt the Cowboys are interested in Dez. Lol.

That's supposed to be his bread & butter. The 50/50 jump ball. Bryant won the hands game, got separation and the ball bounced off his face.

There's this weird obsession with players that retired or were cut.

I don't get this Dez talk at all. I liked Dez when he was with the Cowboys and thought he got a bad rap. But I also remember he last year in Dallas when he could not get open if the opposing DB tripped and fell. WRs have to be able to get open. Dez needs a QB who will throw to him whether he is open or not hoping Dez will catch the contested ball. That's not Dak. Honestly, that's not 90% of the QBs in the league. Why sign dez hoping he catchs a few jump balls in a season but rarely gets open when there are receivers in this draft that can run routes and get open?

Dez would be a media circus in Dallas when the team is starting over with a new head coach. Its a distraction the team does not need.

That's where he needs to be. I actually believe if he's healthy, he'd be a better No. 3 than Cobb.

I don't. Cobb brings a versatility that Bryant doesn't, and never did. But having said that, Bryant was and is a better outside receiver than Cobb will ever be. And Dez can't play in the slot like Cobb can. So you're either re-signing Cobb or shifting Cooper there (if he returns) to line up Bryant outside opposite Gallup.

I consider Bryant a #4 receiver if the others all return, but a #4 with some very specific strengths and packages he's involved in. McCarthy loved his four receiver sets in Green Bay and I don't see why that would change if he had the options and weapons here. Bryant would still be a strong red zone presence and a matchup nightmare against another team's 3rd and 4th corner in one-on-one coverage which was always his strength.

Dez would play for a ham sammitch at this point. If if it was gonna happen, and it’s NOT, it would have happened already.

Why?

What's going on right now that the Cowboys need to sign him right now? Any OTA's going on that I don't know about?

Because you absolutely MUST protect the 'feelings' of these supposed adult professional athletes... they are so vulnerable emotionally.

They sure were under the last regime. Every decision anyone made considered feelings before everything else. And if there was ever a problem between two people, it was handled via a third party, never Man to man and face to face. Everyone was taught that you handle things by way of the back door, behind the other guys back, just like the head coach always did.

That's not necessarily true. It's possible Dez is an option if either Cooper or Cobb can't be re-signed, and they are waiting to see about that before making a decision on Dez.

So one clip of one drop makes a definitive statement?
It's not the dropped pass, it's his supporters claims that it wasn't his fault. Instead of accountability and ownership, they blame someone else. If Dez can't be expected to make that play, he offers nothing to the team.

What draft pick are you using for that 'receiver' when you have needs all over your defense?

Dez would be a media circus in Dallas when the team is starting over with a new head coach. Its a distraction the team does not need.

So you allow perception to create your reality? You allow the media to dictate what you do on the field with your football team? Was it a "media circus" when the Saints signed him? Or just another transaction on the crawl at the bottom of the screen?

Not if he isn't expected to catch that pass I posted.

Again. One dropped pass. Means nothing. You yourself said that "they all drop passes", and yet are trying to make a case based off of one. A glaring contradiction.
