Sign him

And do it quickly.....don’t turn it into a 14 season theatrical drama....

no it's definitely not the first ... but it's hard to take serious with the way Stephen likes to front and low ball the dollars sometimes in vet Free Agency.

Only the Sammy Watkins deal was the last time I can remember the Cowboys really selling out to get a very high priced vet FA.
FA bust DT Cedric Thorton was only a minor pursuit.
they gave a 1 for AC which at the time outbid all others,,its the same, they do take some risk so it happens..we dont need to Joey Galloway roy Williams type risk.. you have to have some restraint..

although Cooper was not a FA, .. that cost the highest draft pick compensation capital.
When you take on a UFA that's just about the agreed upon contract without having to give up a premium highest pick there is.
thats why i was puzzled and disappointed we never made it serious towards FA studs like Earl Thomas and Calasis Campbell.
Maybe with Campbell they had this thought that guys like Hardy or Gregory would turn the corner and they would have their war daddy.
and maybe the Cowboys, and several other contenders didn't realize how good CB Stephen Gilmore would really end up being before he was available in FA.

i can give kudos to such ingenius low risk/high reward trades that end up bonzanas ala Robert Quinn, but i always so dearly coveted the big name studs in FA, that
can help us elevate and move that much more towards a serious championship drive.

Speaking of Talib, I'd check in on him. He's possibly in our bargain bin discounted price range. Harris has a market so, we out!
1 year deal for Talib would be perfect, I think he has a bit left in the tank and he’s versatile scheme wise. Sign him and grab a corner in round 2 and let’s roll

I'm waiting for Stephen to announce we're not going to be active in FA.
He will be active just from this particular perspective....

at this point I aint convinced Dak will be here at all. If I didn't know better I would think we are in the middle of another youth movement and rebuild. Anyone else starting to think that?

The Ravens have a plan and executed it. They have many picks in the draft, improved their defense and have a quarterback on a rookie contract. While we can’t sign are top two priorities. The Joneses. Are they stuck on the yact in the Gulf of Mexico with the Coronavirus. Geesh!!!!
