Why don't they just sign Dak already?

Who are they kidding with these negotiations?

They know they are going to sign Dak no matter what and they know his price is only going to rise..

So why play this little game? For attention?

The Jones's ALWAYS cave during negotiations.

They caved to Zeke 2 years before his deal was up, they caved to Amari Cooper yesterday, and you know they will eventually fold and give Dak whatever he wants as well.

Stop all of this stupid posturing Jerry/Stephen and just sign Dak. Keep this country club in tact and lock down this roster that brings mediocre results.

You'll almost certainly get in the playoffs every year now since almost half the league gets in and we all know you have the recipe for mediocrity.

They didn't cave to Cooper if Washington offered him 22aav.

They want one way of the contract to go their way.

Amari just didn't want to leave Dallas.

Dak doesn't want to leave either but they will give him whatever he wants anyways.

Computer program is down. Waiting on IT to get it fixed so they can enter it in?

We'll see how the deal is structured. May of given him 20aav but they may of gotten a favorable bonus or guaranteed setup.

However, if Dallas offered 18mil, you think he would of left 4mil + on average?

They gave him 2M less where half his games won't have state taxes. This isn't like taking a lot less or giving a hometown discount.

Let's factor in the games he fails to show up in at the end of the season and see just what they got for their money. They now have 7 of the 11 players on the offense in the top 6 paid at their position and the RB and WR at the top. Meanwhile the D just took a hit and has to work towards just getting back to where they were.

I hope those happy with these deals are as happy once they start taking the field. And hope they're not wishing the Skins had won out on the Cooper sweepstakes.

IMO, Dak doesn't want to be signed. At least, his agent doesn't. I suspect that they are going to wait until a bunch of other young guys get big deals and then sign for slightly less than the top, making Dak a small fortune over the large fortune he has already been offered.

Because Dallas doesn't have other options.

There is a ton of other QB's they could use as leverage.

It's clear Dak's agent has been a major reason for the hold up in the negotiations.

The deal should have been done LAST off season.

apparently Dak wants only a 4 year deal but Dallas wants to spread out the cap hit to a 5th year. That's the sticking point. Seems chicken **** to me. JUST SIGN HIM ALREADY. Plus, I think they need to up their offer per year. We are playing with fire letting him twist in the wind. Under the tag, come weds, its very possible we field offers for him from the top 3 teams in the draft. If Cincy calls us, would we listen? I think I would. It would need to be a crazy good haul/offer for me to trade Dak.

Dak wants the most money possible so yeah he is going to hold up.. The Cowboys are throwing up beach balls for him and he is hitting it out of the park.

If you want to win on a deal bring Brady in for a visit.. Bring in one of these FA's... Then let's see if Dak wants to lose the Cowboys brand..

Dallas isn't serious in negotiations and that is why Dak's team is just playing the long game.

how so? WHERE are these other QB's? lol They don't grow on trees. Dak is a winner, and believe me, if we so desired to dangle him out there come weds, we would have several teams giving up the farm for him. Cincy may be the one team that's a great fit. What about Miami? They have 2 first round picks and have a huge void at QB. Dak will be here more than likely...but the longer this goes on without a long term deal, the more likely this gets ugly and we trade him. Dallas has bungled this.

Dak wants a 3-year deal so he can do this again soon. The Cowboys want a longer deal. I think that's the sticking point.

I want the franchise tag, followed maybe by another, followed by a different quarterback.

those unhappy with this deal will still be unhappy, even if he plays at an All Pro level. Some people just like the negatives.
