Did Belichek lose SB 52 on purpose?

ok I was watching some vids at youtube, on brady , career, why he left NE, and why TB.
I will post the other vids in this thread too.
but the why vids and the lose SB vid all sort of tie into each other.
It seems that Bellichek wanted to trade Brady for picks and go with Garappolo and Brisette, and Kraft instead
Traded those 2 for peanuts, and forced BB to go with Brady.

This made BB mad, and he evidently does not like Tom much, or blamed him .
So he decided to teach both Brady and Kraft a lesson.

He benched the starting cb or safety, right before the game started so no one could do anything about it.
And he didnt actively coach like he normally does.
He let his staff and Brady do it all themselves.
So all this led to Tom leaving , and even last year may have been residual effect of Brady and Tom
being not close anymore, and BB wanting him gone.

the shut in has created many new conspiracy theorist..

its stupid none would throw a SB unless their life depended on it..

This quarantine stuff is starting to get to people.

It was reported on the news how being stuck at home and people stressing out can have an effect on ones mental health. That’s become evident here. The topics on this board are becoming more bizarre by the day.

I think it will be the most interesting year for the Pats. They currently have 3 QB on the roster
  • Brian Hoyer
  • Jarrett Stidham
  • Cody Kessler
Can Belicheck lead them to a title without Brady?

both u and the previous poster did not watch the videos! lol that is like commenting on something you did not read.
I just posted it so no way you had time to watch them/ it.

I've seen others write on the topic so no need to watch another silly video on the topic. I don't have to watch every video about the Lochness Monster to know it's a hoax.

Their roster was cooked in 2019 and is only shaping up to be worse in 2020 with several other departures and no cap space.

That was true whether or not Brady stayed or left.

I think Brady didn't want to spend his final years treading water while the roster rotted around him, and Belichick didn't want to spend cap space on a 43 year old guy in the hopes he could finish rebuilding the rest of the roster before he retired. The breakup made sense this year for both sides.

The Patriots are in great shape cap-wise in 2021, but will still need a huge helping of luck to get a QB anywhere near Tom Brady's level. Even Old 2018-2019 Brady, never mind the 2007-2017 version.

They still fielded the #1 defense last year. The offense was short on weapons, but the cupboard wasn't bare in 2019.

I think Brady carries more blame for their offensive woes than Belichick last year. His arm looks shot.

I watched the video quite some time ago. It does give a compelling argument. But like with most compelling arguments that border on conspiracy, a lot of the stuff is cherry picked. Still, it leaves it in the realm of possibilities.

So then why did he win super bowl 53?
Because he was facing an inferior coach

Who on that team could even get open on deep routes? 1 game of AB?

The defense got exposed badly down the stretch, and is already bleeding talent this off-season that they don't have cap space to replace.

You’re only on the hook for the other teams in your division though. When you won the East in 2007, Eagles were in last place at 8-8. Conversely, this year we were competing against an 8-8 team for the division title.

Are the Jets winning 10 games this year? Miami? I’d put money on the Pats still having a better record than Buffalo.

That is a good question, and I thought about that.
If you look at that game, the pats were down 28-3 I think, so he could have been trying to lose, or better way to look at it,
is not really trying to win until he gets rid of brady.
The falcons made some big mistakes, and the pats defense rose to the occasion later in the game.
Also brady led a comeback, which along with Atl mistakes allowed them to win.

It could also be that he only wanted to lose that one SB to teach brady and kraft a lesson.

Brady had nothing to work with last year, compared to what he has had in the past.
losing gronk pretty much killed their chances of another SB run. and no #1 wr, just look at how that affected dallas , add cooper and immediate change.
If this is all true, then BB is not wanting to give brady any good supporting cast.

Thats true, but just winning div , is not the same as having being # 1 seed , 12-4, and play only 2 games at home.
Teams that just barely make playoffs are the ones eliminated by the better teams .
Even if dallas beat phil, they would not have gone far, just like phil did not .

It will be interesting, hoyer is not good enough, he has meltdowns in playoffs.
They need to get a vet like fitz or draft one.
To me it looks like they will need a few years to rebuild, and really need to tank a season or 2.
They not only lost brady, but they just dont have any star players except edelman.

I am more interested in TB , see if brady can get them to playoffs, Arians is a good coach, and TB has some talent.
I predict they will make playoffs. And I predict NE wont make playoffs.

If this is all true about BB wanting brady gone, he got what he wanted, now what will he do??
Could be he wants to win a SB with another QB to show he didnt need brady, and Brady wants to do the same thing, win one without BB.

Well I do wonder what BB does now, does he have a quick fix in mind? or slow casual rebuild ? Tank a season or 2 for some good draft picks?
It is also odd that they let Tom go, even though they seem unprepared for his departure.
BB could have put a tag on Tom, but no it was just bye bye , have fun in TB without me lol.

Just so you know. Brady's contract didn't allow the Pats to use the franchise tag on him.

Tom had a clause in his contract that he couldn't be tagged.

The idea he threw a Super Bowl is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, especially in light of the fact that at this point you would need to believe he threw a Super Bowl then had a change of heart by winning the Super Bowl the very next year.
