I fully believe getting rid of Leonard, Adams, Gurode and Colombo and replacing them with Livings, Costa, Free and Colombo was Garrett's doing. He knew the line needed to get better but his mind-set was that replacing them was part of the "process" so he would make do with castoffs and never-weres until he could build his line. He just never seemed to understand that while he was slowly constructing it other parts of the offense would either break down from wear and tear/age or leave.

A smart head coach might have still moved on from those players, but he would have also asked for pieces in the interim to help him win now, not backups to start in the interim. Some blame is on Jerry the GM for not providing those pieces anyway, but I believe its the coach's voice that matters most in this. I have not seen any coach here not get what they ask for (that's not who Jerry is as an owner).

Forgot Bernadeau. He played more than Livings.

And that was it. No league leading RB, no top five OL, and he sure never had the WR talent that Dak has had and that position and it just became even stronger.
Losing Owens hurt. TO could play. Roy Williams was a fail and Myles Austin's production was short lived. Dez was a bright spot.

Like 13-3 and losing their 1st playoff game despite an NFL record TWELVE Pro Bowlers, like in 2007?

Don’t hurt yourself trying to sound like you know football, clown.

“DURRR AND THAT WAS IT!!!”
:lmao2:
As disappointing as that game was, the Giants did beat the SB favorite and take it all that year. So it's not like Cowboys choked to an inferior team. It happens in sports.

That's pretty weak.

Let me know when you see another QB win games with punctured lungs, ruptured discs and cracked ribs.
What kind of argument is that? Lmao. You want me to find you another injury prone QB who hurt the team missing games? Against a guy who hasn't missed a single game?

When he played, I was a huge fan. But this bonerfest some have going on 5 years later....it gets old.

DiNicci reminded me of 9 too but much like 9 he’s prob 2-3 yrs away of any trusting him. I’d say rush is safe for this year especially with zero to little offseason
Truth, he is a major project if that film is his highlight time at James Madison, either way he looks worthy of a seventh rd pick expectations of him starting are way out there at this point in time. IMO we should be more concerned if we can coach up Gallimore and turn him into a keeper.

I got in late so this will be short.

The guest was a reporter named Patrick that has been covering the Cowboys for two decades. Didn't catch his last name. These are his comments.

DiNucci - this is a direct quote.... "This boy has on the Romo cologne. He has great pocket awareness and escapability. Watched a lot of film on the guy and he can play. Cooper Rush will have his hands full keeping his job."

Gallimore - "This guy may have Larry Allen strength and speed. Watched him get chipped by a QB after he was double teamed and chased down a RB and got a strip. Already contacted McCoy who is a fellow Sooner, and this kid will be in his back pocket learning."

General draft - "I have been a fan of this team since the 80's and covering them, professionally since 1999 and this is the best draft I have seen"

Offense - "This will be the best offense in the East and perhaps the entire NFC. Moore and McCarthy were working to install new wrinkles this week during the down time in the draft."

I watched the North Dakota state game for Dinucci...

Couple things...

1. He does have a gun slinger play style.. I’d say he looks more like Rodgers though than Romo.

2. His arm looks weak. Like I don’t know if he can make NFL throws weak.

3. He’s so skinny.

I like his play style but he needs to just get bigger and stronger. Maybe he can get to a Baker Mayfield body type.

You remarked about Romo's toughness. And I can give you a list of things he was better at.

Dak's one injury so far, a sore shoulder. And he looked like crap and couldn't score a TD in the most important game of the season against a bad secondary.

Tell me I'm wrong.

In the list of reasons why Dallas didn't win a Super Bowl...Romo is way down on the list. Pretty much his entire time here he had Garrett as his coach, who everyone seems to agree was worthless. Jerry knows he did Romo wrong not getting him a better surrounding cast. I guess people forget the days of an OL with Phil Costa, David Arkin, Marco Rivera, castoffs from the Jets, Pat McQuistan, Montrae Holland, Bernadeau and Livings, Ryan Cook...those were definitely some awesome OL.
That was an offensive line comprised of garbage.

It's funny how far some fans will go to excuse Romo for a 14 year career, but turn around and blame Prescott for everything in his 4 year career. The last thing I would do would to bring up performances in win or go home games.

Prescott needs to do a better job of stopping the run, the Rams putting up 275 yards is all his fault, right?

Romo has retired - let it go.

Great post, would have loved to have seen him with this talent.

Nooch is our 7th round pick and we are all excited to see our draft picks succeed! Like any QB, Dak is one hit away from missing games and Nooch could be the guy to step in as a rookie, much like Dak was in 2016. Wouldn't it be ironic if history repeats itself, assuming Dak even signs the tag and plays this year.
