Why is keeping 3 QBs a good thing? Very few teams do so.

Most teams keep three Josee. Two on the active roster and one development QB. I don't think that's unusual. Besides, the NFL expanded rosters so I don't think it's a big deal.

He most definitely is. Sucks for whoever is the backup here. Cooper Rush was a pet of Garrett and co. that's how Mike White got off the roster. Well...he sucked too but still.
Lol. We barely saw White. JG acted like Rush was ready climb in the drivers seat.

That may come in handy if this new kid is someone MM wants to keep and teach...

Makes sense. Why keep him?
You sign a FA QB with experience for a short - one year, no reason to keep Rush.
It gives you all sorts of options. Great insurance pick up.
If Dak gets injured, we're covered. Don't need another situation like when Romo got injured. We had no one.
If Dak doesn't sign, we're covered.
If Dak gets the Rona, we're covered.
Maybe he makes Dak better.
Maybe he outperforms Dak in TC and starts.

I don't think you necessarily make that choice if you weren't sure Dak will sign.

McCarthy is a Wolfe Disciple. He learned to draft QBs, develop them a little bit and then trade them for draft picks. Green Bay did that for years.

Until rogers kind of threw him under the bus. That was a strange deal. Guess it was time for MM to go. I think rogers helped him along. Guess it was easier for the FO to get another HC instead of another franchise QB. Now he is getting the business. Instead of the packers getting WR’s for rogers they got a QB. And how about those egirls. Using there second round pick for a QB. Lol. I hear the QB they got might have been one MM wanted to train. Maybe payback for us taking Lamb...

I don't know. I'm not a huge McCarthy fan, per say, but I'm a big fan of this Dalton sign. No matter what happens with Dak, we needed a capable backup so this is a move I applaud for sure.

When I asked God to please make the Cowboys move on from their QB and sign a veteran this year this wasn't what I had in mind.

You know what they say. When God wants to punish you, He answers your prayers.

2 extra roster spots with the new CBA, probably see more teams keeping 3.

I am a bit surprised they didn't at least take Rush to camp before releasing him.

MM has been fantastic so far (that was his draft) and we even hit camp yet. Every move keeps proving how bad Garrett was.
