As I rewatched the Minnesota game...man that coaching staff disgusted me. They had to go. Coaching not to lose doesn't cut it and that is what Garrett and his coaches did regularly.
Agreed! Here is another way of looking at it. Make a list of all the games Garrett out coached the Cowboys opponent's HC. That will be a very short list.

I can only think of one team he outcoached and it was the terrible Arizona Cardinals when Dallas had Brice Butler......2017? I think

Sometimes it's amazing that the entire house has to burn down before someone smells the smoke.
Ten years with this coaching staff and nothing was done until now.

even better, sometimes even when the house is burning or after it has burned down, the residents still just think it’s hot because it’s summer. There are a couple on this very board who still think Garrett is a good HC

I am not gonna lie here and say I hate Jason Garrett because I simply do not. I hated him as a play caller, never felt he had a feel for the ebb and tides of the game at hand. Had too many head scratching calls at the wrong moments, IE going away from what was working especially. But it was time in fact past time to burn it up and start over. They kept Moore which I am a fan of and Nussmeir. And the Big Cat on defense. The rest had to go away to wherever they went. It took a long time to happen but at least we are still alive to see it happen, lol. May we succeed going forward in the MM era.

Jason Garrett wanted to keep things simple. He thought the guys would execute better if it was simple. Rumor has it that Garrett even told the defensive staff not to put install too many different coverages.

Bs Kavon Frazier said the opposite, in fact he said the defense was to complicated and guys would screw it up. go listen to his interview.

Those dudes must be family members or something, they still defend Garrett to this day.

still here, when you come with facts and not some hater like Jeff Cavanaugh putting his spin on things, funny how so many different people at the practices come away with different takes. it depends on what side the fence they're on.

It's a good idea but when it wasn't working there were no adjustments. And that was 100% Garrett's fault. Trying to force a square peg into a round hole.

winning 3 of the last six division being simple and not adjusting? what the he'll was the other teams and coaches doing?

What Garrett actually meant was keep it simple so HE could understand it. He was definitely not a tactician.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. The number that counts is 8-8. Sure 3 W's is better than 3 L's, but the NFCE stunk. They were supposed to win those. There were other games they were supposed to win as well but they lost.

Have to be. With what MM has done in one offseason and reports coming out, it really should be painfully obvious how "horrid" Garrett really was. If it wasn't already.

Quit cursing when you talk to me. If you don't agree with what I have to say, then just disagree.

What kind of person has to cuss to make their point?

This is pretty alarming stuff if this was the case last year with our coaching staff under Garrett.......The more I hear about what was going on last year behind the scenes with the coaching staff, it's no wonder why this team finished 8-8.....And I completely agree with him about not paying running backs...

Of all the many aspects of Garrett's tenure with the Cowboys, consistently being out-coached by the opposition was the one that drove me most insane.
