What did I miss, Wilson, Jones, Smith?
Did you notice the additions of Parker, Rogers, Guidry?

Just want to make sure I understand your position. I agree that pollard will get reps at wr..you are saying based on MM history that pollard will basically win that position of wr4, is that correct?

Lololol..I was the guy that named drop Wilson, first and foremost..in addition, that guy is selling pollard as wr4 this entire thread...the only one in here constantly saying nuh uh is you
The fact you name dropped Wilson doesn’t mean the other guy referred to Pollard as being primarily a WR. You took it on yourself to read that into his words.

Someone has to block. 5 men on the line . Qb taking snap. That's 6. Now 4 wr's makes 10. If defense blitzes, the rb has to stay in and block. Defense can cover with 5 and rush with 6..

yep
I meant there are other options as well

Not really
Just someone has to run hot route so you have a quick target
You aren’t running 4 WR all the time but it spreads out the defense and can work well running and passing
If they blitz then someone is in single coverage and DB’s have their back to the LOS

dude are you serious? It’s obvious he was saying pollard would be wr #4 because of his route running even as a rb, not saying that his actual position is WR.

This spot is probably going to be a bit more important than years past. I see us going to a 4WR set often. If so who will that 4th WR be?

The team needs to be on the lookout for an experienced WR in the final roster cuts. And don’t say Dez. I would rather have an open roster spot and play with 10 guys on the field than bring Dez back in.
Ok..

Unfortunately, I have been around the block with this team for too long.

Years back, we had Tony Dorsett and Hershel Walker and thought we would run all the way to the SB.

Never happened. Dorsett got hurt and eventually ended his career in Denver.

We once had Galloway as a WR and thought with the guys we had, Aikman would flourish. He got injured as did Galloway and we ditched in the gutter.

We drafted Aikman then drafted Steve Walsh who had a great UM career and along with Jimster and the new staff, we were unstoppable.

I think we went 1-15 the next year and Walsh was traded.

My point is..do not count your chickens until they hatch.

Do not invite the neighbors for a chicken fry until you catch, kill and butcher the birds.

Get me?

No excitement about 4 receiver threats until we know Dak can even count that high much find them and hit them.

You are jinxing CeeDee and the rest with this stuff. Our TE must be shaking in his cleats to hear this kind of talk.

Let's see if they are even going to play this year first.

I am still trying to figure what happens when we get the virus and half the team goes in 14 day quarantine. What?

No games?

Slow down Butch.

don't forget about this guy if he can ever learn to catch the ball.....I like Lamb, Cooper, Gallup, Smith, Johnson in that order.

When you study a WR4 in a 4 wide set for DAL, as of now, I'm going with Devin Smith. Why? Vertical speed to open up the underneath routes.

Cedrick Wilson is my WR4, but it depends on the situation. Wilson can get open on short routes like a possession WR, so it's about the down n distance.

Also, when Big Mike n KM are putting together the offense for the 4WR package it'd be really explosive to have Tony Pollard as the RB...to motion out the backfield, and just stress the defense with his big play threat.
Stop. Stealing. My. Posts.

Mine too.

I would put Zeke at 4th WR for a few plays each game , when Pollard comes in to give Zeke a breather at RB. As much as Zeke gets paid, he should be in good enough physical shape to handle this. If he can't, then he needs a better work out regimen.

No, just that Pollard might be the best 4th option at receiving.
He had 1300 yds and 9 TDs receiving playing in Memphis.
Why is this such a hard concept to understand, I never stated that Pollard was going to make this team converting to "WR" and be listed as a "WR" now on the roster...
A RB can be a receiving option as well as a TE,,, receiving option does not mean having to be listed as a "WR" on the roster...lol
You and @ Hardline have a very difficult time with this basic concept.

What we consider has nothing to do with the team. We can get as far ahead of ourselves as we want with total disregard for playing one game at a time, etc.

Moreover, I believe the NFL season will start on time and will be played all the way through the SB.

I hope so.

The odds tell me that some team is going to get hit with the virus and half or more of the team gets quarentined.

Then what?

Stop the game? Play the game and infect the team, staffs, officials, etc.

Stop and place your money where your mouth is, buddy.

This stuff with the NFL is strictly PR stuff.

This ain't the flu we are talking about.

This is a killer disease.

Your wife going to let you go to a game? And you get sick and suddenly she has to take care of you, herself, the kids?

With little to no income?

Get real.

C. Wilson is the hot name
He's "hot" on injuries and that's about it. Missed his rookie season with a shoulder injury the following season he had a knee injury which ended his season. NO THANK YOU!

i think Pollard is gonna be a Ty Montgomery, Chris Thompson, Sproles type nickel back when implemented into the pass game.
he's not gonna be a 4th WR.

His work in the pass game is gonna be around the line as more of a receiving back, per quick flare passes and screen plays,
pre-snap motion and misdirection jet plays, isolation vs LBs underneath with occasional wheel routes over the top.

But all and any talk of Pollard as a true 4th WR seems more like a pipe dream with some of these fans.
:p

I don't have a hard time at all w this concept. The concept in itself is not what I had an issue with

Whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you.
