No doubt Dalton has the better arm however he gets happy feet in the pocket. Dak would have sailed one or two over the fence or into the dirt for sure.

I knew some Dak accuracy jokes may be looming, but lets not forget that there are other intangibles just as important to the modern day QB position that Dak has that Andy does not... I'm impressed with the video though! :starspin:
The MOST important thing by far for a QB to do is throw the dang ball to his receiver

Now that’s something I could pay 35 million a year for.
Lol of course you could. Problem is. Dalton doesn’t perform like this on game day as evidenced by his last 4 years in this league. And you finally proved the point that you don’t like Dak. You’ve hid behind the whole “too much money for any player” excuse. Now you’d pay Andy dalton 35 million? A guy Who’s never won a playoff game. You’re a joke man

Just so we are clear.

My issue now is I am waiting for the new ticket prices for our 4 reserved seats at ATT.

When the new signings hit the ledgers, my ticket prices are going to increase.

Believe me...I am not that excited about that.

Somebody pays for all these fun and games.

If not this year, then next year.

It's understood to all ticket holders.

If there are games with no fans, ticket refunds are going to hurt teams for sure.

So snip all you want, I have cold hard Cash reasons to not be excited about Dak and his contract.

Exactly fans don't understand they foot the bill.

I apologize to jump in here on this but after reading your post I must say that your reasoning is flawed. Dak’s contract has nothing to do with your ticket prices, the salary cap does. If Dak gets 20 mil then the other 10/20 mil goes into other positions. The money is spent either way.

I can’t wait until you guys watch Andy Dalton. It’s going to be hilarious lol.
I have no doubt when the season starts that Dak will be behind center. Having said that, I think Andy will surprise some if given the chance. When he's had good people around him, he's been pretty good. And he's never been surrounded by this amount of talent.

I for one would love to see how he plays under pressure with this offense. You could be right, but I think he would do quite well.

I'll take 4th quarter Dak over Dalton.
And the other 3 quarters? We could be the first team to employ a "closer" QB. Also, I'm trying to remember some times last year that Dak really turned it on in the 4th quarter. I'm not coming up with much.

Romo may have been the best garbage time QB of all time.

Romo’s garbage time is described like this by his lovers: “I never felt we were out of any game with Romo.”

Yep, he could carve up a prevent defense and sometimes could even make a comeback against teams with a losing record.
This would be a great evaluation of Dak Prescott.

Maybe it's just me, but throwing passes through a stationary target ( in shorts )isn't saying much for an NFL QB. In willing to bet a red penny, tons NFL QBs ( even some 2nd or 3rd stringers ) can hit the same target. In fact, it would not surprise me at all to see our on OC, Kellen Moore hit a few.

Opinions are always debatable. It's facts that cannot be debated.

It's a fact that, over the past four years combined, Dak is a top ten in Passer rating, completion percentage, total yards, INT percentage and yes, average yards per attempt.

It's also a fact that, over that same exact time period, Dalton has lagged behind Dak in every single one of those categories.....as in WwwAaaYyyyy back!,........and, yes, that includes average yards per attempt. Keep in mind, this period began with Dak as a rookie starting every game. In fact, he started evey game in his first four seasons. During this same time, Dalton was in his prime, his 6thth season to his 9th.

Don't count on Dalton's poise under pressure. In the fourth quarter last season his passer rating was 76.6 to Dak's 90.7. In most cases Dak was in close games still under a lot of pressure while Dalton was mostly filling in garbage time. Dalton's escapability isn't going to impress anybody either, he was at the high end of sacks in the 4th quarter, Dak on the low end.

I also wouldn't expect Dalton to showcase any double threat skills with an average run of 3.0 yards.
Put Dak on the Bengals and Dalton on the Cowboys and those stats flip.

First off I love Dak he is my favorite player on the team but I cant control whats in his head or make him sign and play for what he believes is unfair

Second I love the Cowboys more than Dak and if he wont play for whatever reason Andy will start and play for 3 million + the incentives that could take his pay to a max of 7 mil .

Improving the team is what I care about most and Andy Dalton along with 30 mil to spend on Defense makes us a better team than if we pay Dak 36 mil So we bought a great Insurance policy that makes us even better this year in the event dak and the team cant come to terms .

Its really that simple Andy will honor his Contract and start for 3mil if necessary
I think there are some who Love Dak more than the Cowboys

There was a stretch of games where Dak was perfect after halftime. I’m starting to think you didn’t watch the games.

The hypocrisy of the Romo loving Dak haters is easy to expose.

Not according to recorded stats. Do the stats suddenly lie? Or do they only matter when it fits a desired player fan's narrative???

I'll take Dak any day of the week, 365 days a year!
THAT'S MY QB!!!!

Andy will make a pretty decent backup.

Yes. stats lie. "There are lies, damn lies, and stats". Or "apples to oranges".

Now, if you showed me Dalton played with the same team as Dak...or vice versa...I'd put a little credence in your oppressively GIANT stat board.

Did Dak have success because he had all the tools as a mid round rookie? Or did Dak have success because it was a super-charged 1st-round filled offense? (honest question!)

I think both of course. I don't know enough about Cinci to drill down into the stats.

So you don’t want to talk about garbage time stats?

The garbage stats were already discussed in the garbage passing thread.

You guys keep regurgitating the same points in every thread. Doesn't it become tiresome?
