Celebrities . You Could be Friends and Never Could be Friends?

Coolest dude I ever met though was Barry Switzer. I was a golf pro for several years and we hosted a coaches clinic every year that brought in the big names. I've briefly met Saban, Dabo, Wade Phillips, Joe Avezzano, Jimbo, Gene Stallings, and Kingsbury among others. Most no more than a handshake and a tee time, but I hit it off with Switzer and played a round with him 3 of the 5 years he attended. I know folks around here like to rag on him, but don't kid yourselves. Barry Switzer has more sports knowledge in his pinkie finger than most of this forum. I'm talking boxing, MMA, golf, olympics, horse racing, and everything else under the sun. It was like talking to the sports page. He was polite, friendly, funny, and very down to earth. For a kid raised with such a rough upbringing he had a lot of success and happiness in his life.

I'll leave out the celebrity I could never be friends with out since it would be political.

I don't know any well enough to know whether I could be friends with them or not but one thing I do know, I wouldn't want to be a celebrity. This social distancing that recently came along was just the ticket for me. In fact, 6' isn't enough.

I've never been affected by celebrity status and really only appreciate them for the entertainment they provide. I don't care what they do outside of that. They make me cry, laugh, feel and think, they've already connected with me.
