The fact that they didn’t even talk past June 22nd says the relationship is damaged going forward.
That being said- Dak better hope he lights it up this year under the new coach- because if he gets hurt, or out performed or turns in another weak record with no playoffs, he will not get what he thinks on the open market

You have to give it to the guy, he believes in himself.

Good. He’ll either be signed next offseason if this year is successful or we’ll have a new QB in 2021. I don’t see the Cowboys tagging him twice.

Well that is that. I hope the best for OUR TEAM. If Dak is the answer... he better prove it and perform... if not we now can move on after next season

They’re not sold on him. Period. There’s no other explanation or made up excuse to explain it. I believe either Jerry and company or MM had reservations about hitching their wagon to an average player and want to see him do more in terms of winning when it matters.

Smart move.
Regardless, As of now, I’m way more interested in how this team performs (provided there is a season) in 2020.

Watch Dak get hurt and Dalton go 3-0. Like Romo/Dak situation. I hope he doesn’t get injured but a huge risk.
Dalton can play. I’m just sick of players refusing money that he can’t spend, his kids and even his grandkids.

Honestly I’m not sure why there is so much hand wringing and consternation. Dak played on a “prove it deal” last year and handled it well. He will do it again and if he does well he gets paid or another nice tag and if not, the Jones boys win. FO didn’t cave. We have a season to play
