It’s sucked the last couple years to be honest....below .500 anyway. Even in 2017 the division was only a single game above .500 collectively.

The Giants and ‘whatever they are going to be called’, have really sucked the last few years

They really have. As fans of opposing teams in the division, they've made it a two horse race. At least your team was able to capitalize on that, and go all the way to a Super Bowl title. The Garrett-led Cowboys repeatedly found ways to waste opportunity. No better example than last season.

But in all sincerity, I'm grateful to your team for finally ending the Garrett era for us.

That's fair. The Giants and Washington are probably capped at 7 wins. Philly and Dallas could finish anywhere between 8 and 11 wins. No great team among the bunch.

2012. after that season jerry made garrett the walk around coach and forced play calling on bill callahan which he did not want. Garrett was still the offensive coordinator/play caller in 2011 and 2012.

of course soprano helped garrett....what would you have him do? He had been here for years and the players loved him. He coached tight ends and the offensive line. he was wade phillips assistant head coach in 07. He was a lifelong coach. I have no idea what you saying he helped garrett is even supposed to mean that was his job description.

But what would i have Sparano do ? after Sparano left, the offense seem to go into lapses and slumps to which Garrett
(and his ever flaw whether OC or HC) could never re-adjust.
- You have to wonder how much of the offensive was Garrett and how much of the offensive success was Sparano.
Whether OC or HC he's always had this we do what we do straight up.
If there were to be any change up, new ideas, new designs, new approach, his OCs had to be the ones to do so.

- Jerry finally made Garrett a walk around HC because Jerry finally realized Garrett could not handle a dual role and he struggled with it.
How did Jerry get that dual coach role notion ? It's been said Jerry himself listened to one of his buddies - Al Davis or Joe Gibbs, that
believed a HC should have dual roles as HC/OC.

- And to add more grease to the fire, Jerry insisted on giving him an OC of his own chose - regardless of different offensive philosophies
and the offense continued it's issues, until another move of Jerry finally listening to his own HC, and let him choose an OC that
shares his familiarity and philosophies.

It is...but I was responding to him saying that was a bad record....
It is indeed a bad record . NFCE is the worst division in the NFL as conformed by the record and analysts . Mediocrity is a syndrome ..

LOL. Aikman and his career 61.5% completions. You are right, I can't compare Dak to that. Aikman and his 141 INT's to 165 TD's. You are right, I can't compare Dak to that.
Aikman NEEDED Emmitt and the RUNNING GAME to be successful vs good teams. Dak's offense needs the running game to set up the passing game.
Yeah and Terry Bradshaw had 212 TDs and 21- Ints. He needed Franco and Rocky. John Elway had 300 TDs and 226 Ints along with a 55% career completion %, he needed TD to win a superbowl, although he got there previously without him. I LOL at people that compare QB stats from earlier years to now before the rule changes that favor the offense.

In 1924 Gavvy Cravath lead major league baseball with 24 home runs, he obviously sucked compared to players now, huh.

Zeke is top 3 since 2016, Dak has a running game to dream about, he just hasn't gotten it done.

I've always been hopeful that the current version of the Cowboys would show themselves to be a team that lifts their division into a far better category than they've managed to be in the recent past. I still haven't given up on those high hopes in that respect.

Fortunately, they may well enjoy much better coaching and talent now. With good luck on their side, I believe they may have the capacity to arrive at that level in the not-too-distant future. I still fervently hope that wish comes to fruition much sooner than later. :)

so bad man
I think the thing that bothers me most is the fact the team literally quit on JG,we all saw it,but what really bugs me is how people talk about how great a leader Dak is and how the team follows his lead,I personally think that's a crock..they might have followed his lead in quitting and not giving a **** and it showed against Philly,he and the team completely choked..leader my ***.
