Some franchises are actually all-in on winning championships, others are content just talking about it.

Anyways, here comes the "they paid too much" crowd.

u win super bowls by hitting on ur picks and having studs on rookie deals and use cap flexibility to bolster ur roster not trading all ur picks away lol

if it was like ur saying then why would any team draft at all just trade all ur draft picks for proven players and take away all the risk of busts

Dodged a bullet there.
Several very good safeties in 2021 draft.
Get one.

I dunno man. Other than Cee who we have yet to see play in the league, but I think will be great, we haven’t been knocking it out of the park the past 4 years ourselves in the first and we had significantly lower picks than Seattle.
Travis Frederick
Zack Martin
Byron Jones
Ezekiel Elliott
Taco Charlton
Leighton Vander Esch
None (Amari Cooper trade)
CeeDee Lamb

Compare that to the same time period for the Seahawks:

James Carpenter
Bruce irvin
Germaine Ifedi
Rashad Penny
LJ Collier
Jordyn Brooks

and even the one first that Dallas missed on in Taco, saw them draft Chidobe Awuzie, Jordan Lewis and Xavier Woods out of that draft.

Speaking for myself, I’d take the Dallas drafts Over Seattle’s 100 out of 100 times. That is very good in anyone’s book.

Again, the cost of Adams is not simply measured in draft picks. Adams is demanding $16M per season.

The True Cost is the Two first round draft picks, Plus the free agent talent that $16M can bring in.

Look at what Dallas did with that $16M this off-season: (2020 Cap Hit per spotrac)

McCoy $4.35M
Clinton-Dix $3.75M
Dalton $3M
Zuerlein $1.8M
Bell $1.7M

Adams is a good player no doubt, but does he really add more value than 2 first round picks Plus 5 solid free agents?
No Way.

Taco. Still a bad taste in that one.

Here we come and rightfully so. I would nave been very angry if we gave up that much.

the funny thing is, I think it makes more sense for us to overpay for him then them and there’s no way I’d want Dallas to give up that much. Even without the additional first it would have been tough to swallow

in this case absolutely true, that insane for Adams..

and if Seattle's all in when the last NFCCG they were in , SB in the rear view mirror not like they have the winning formula..mock your own team, thats character for ya.this isnt the Seahawk Zone brah!:rolleyes:o_O

so i guess the other 30 teams that passed plus the one that let him go are all wrong and not all in so Seatle is winning SB this year? put your house up for collateral and go bet it all in Vegas..

Doesn’t he have an upcoming contract also? How can you justify what they gave up and to also pay him as the top Safety in the league.

Well that’s why I specified the past 4 years. Yes, our picks have been much better than Seattle but we’ve had lower picks and the past 4 years, 5 if you count the people who criticized Jones as over rated, have not been great IMO.

I don’t care what RB is there, you never use a draft pick that high on a RB plus we could have snagged Henry in the 2nd. Yeah, he’s good but not worth the 4th overall pick IMO.

Taco was a total bust.

LVE, who knows what we’ll get, he could range from great to bust. He was great his first year, not good while he played his second year and may be one hit away from retiring.

We gave up a first for Cooper who I like but he led the league in drops the year before we got him IIRC, was coming up for a contract and disappeared in away games.

Ceedee I think will be great but we have yet to see him in the NFL.

With Seattle’s history of drafting in the first, plus a most likely lower pick, I don’t think it’s all that bad for them.

Lol at all the armchair GM’s. Laugh at them all you want, they used a 7th round pick on a RB that averaged .1 less yards last year than our 4th OVERALL pick and had more ypc than our 4th overall pick the year before. They wasted their first round last year, the year before and the year before that IMO and they’ll most likely be giving up two late first round picks.

In other words, Seattle has been doing fine and they just picked up a much better player than they would have based on their 1st round draft history.

you are literally obsessed with zeke lol.
And Seattle may be fine, it may be a match made in heaven. It’s still a ridiculous haul to give up.

Exactly. It's why I would support mortgaging the farm for a guy like Lawrence come draft time. Sure seems like standing pat and doing things in this new "Stephen is actually in charge" way of doing things is achieving no more than any of Jerry's past methods.

Just an opinion.

ROFL that is def too much and might be the kids biggest fan.
TWO 1sts and a 3rd?? To make him the highest paid safety in football??

I mean I guess if you suck at drafting it makes sense.
