For the record, I went to JMU, have gone to several games Dinucci started; he can play but is going to be a project.

As far as players go from the team I watched the last few years that went to championships in their division, Ron'Dell Carter was always a man among boys on the field. Not sure how it will translate in the NFL but he was really good. Was cool he made the practice squad. Kind of surprised Dinucci didn't get cut to go to the practice squad quite frankly.

I love the Nooch....mostly because I like his catchy nickname...
But I’m totally joking when I make comments about him starting or taking over....
I do think he could develop into something....very doubtful it will be in Dallas.

Beat me to it.....I'm not seeing the Romo comparison, at all

Watch his other highlight reel.. you’ll see it. Exp when he spins 180 degrees away from the RDE and makes a perfect throw.

I really like this kid. With a lil more development, he could Atleast be a very good backup, if not a starter. His confidence is always on display, he has touch when needed, not scare of the big hit, and seems to improvise to move the chains. I’m not anointing the kid, just saying he’s the best developmental QB we’ve had in awhile. Dak is still the man, but I love how we may finally have a staff that can recognize and develop QBs.. @Reality

Dinucci got drafted because other teams wanted to sign him as a free agent. So it wouldn't make any sense to cut him now.

Rosen would have been a significant upgrade over DiNucci. Was never going to happen though.

Rosen was a “1st Rd draft pick” that literally was exited from two teams that are rebuilding and is now hanging on to a NFL career on the practice squad o_O Sure, Rosen has an arm, but he’s scare to get hit.. not to mention he’s arrogant and lacks leadership.

Naw, my man.. Rosen is exactly where he should be.

Honestly, I am impressed. I saw QB almost flat-footed throw pass on line 30 yards down the field that hit WR running full speed on crossing route. I was stunned and had to rewind video just to see who Cowboys had on roster that had that kind of arm strength and accuracy. It was Dinucci. Been fan since.

Well there have been plenty of first round QB that washed out, so I can't deny the possibility.

However, Rosen was a first round pick for a reason, and DiNucci almost was undrafted for a reason. Many thought Rosen was the best QB in the draft. Beyond a good arm, Rosen is widely acknowledged as being very smart. He was drafted into a horrible team- one that changed coaching staff and moved on with their guys. He is still young though. The rumors about his "arrogance" or lack of "leadership" are just that- rumors. I've yet to hear this from a credible source, with certain knowledge of the facts.

Yes, there are some strong similarities to a young Romo. But I also see an even stronger arm, an even faster release and a poise that even Romo didn't have until 2006. Dinucci is special! I can't wait to see him as the near-future Dallas Cowboys franchise QB.

I'm just grateful we didn't sign Dak to a long term deal. Dak is a pretty good QB, but he is not on that level of special. I remember when Romo took that last series of his career against the Eagles in 2016. It was at that point when I realized that the hype of Dak going on at that time got exposed. Dak was riding high on the back of a monster Zeke rookie season and a really dumbed down passing offense. Of course Dak is playing at a much higher level than 2016. But I just never get the sense that he is ever going to be able to take over a game.

This Dinucci kid gives me that feeling. Give him a season under Kellen Moore and Andy Dalton mentoring him. You'll see it.

Wasn’t he picked in the SEVENTH round?

I don't doubt that Dinucci is talented, although, NFL talent is another level than you'll not find anywhere else. He'll be tested, developed, groomed and scrutinized up, down and sideways, for any flaws that must be corrected. Once all that has been tended to, let's hope he'll pass all the tests and flourish with the Cowboys. I like his athleticism, accuracy and versatile ways of competing. I think he'll, at least, be an accomplished backup and perhaps even far more. It'll take time but we'll see if he's worthy of the effort to hone his skills.
