I use to have this same opinion but now I think Dak is the much better QB.

romo wasn’ta good pocket passer and his deep ball was only effective when he’d scramble and his wide receivers would draw double coverage

Romo had Garrett as a play caller. Romo, in Garrett’s last season, was the last ranked offense in rushing attempts and bottom 5 in play action. The Giants with Garrett are back to that and Garrett had Barkley averaging a yard a game until he tore his ACL.

in 2010, Dallas was the 32nd ranked scoring defense, in Garrett’s last year as play caller, 24th. The only time they were legitimate was when Wade was here and the problems were actual Garrett’s HIGH-TO offense that kept giving the ball back to the opposing team.

That’s a false comparison— Comparing Romo to 4 slam dunk, 1st ballot HOFers isn’t the topic. And yes- I’m putting Mahomes in the category already.

I had to double check I'm not replying to myself because I've posted the exact same pertaining to Romo. He was absolutely spectacular under those circumstances.

Can't even imagine how he would be at center with this team. We couldn't have had a better replacement then Dak. Both Romo & Dak are tough as nails.

Since Aikman, out of the other 9 quarterbacks, non came even close to these two. BOOM!

1. None of them had Garrett as a play caller, who just had Barkley averaging 1 yard per carry, 32 in the league in rushing attempts and yards and has the 29th ranked scoring offense. And who cares about those guys? We are comparing Romo with Dak..

2. Dak won three games without Zeke, against the woeful Raiders, Commanders and Giants and struggled immensely. He put up 100 yards against the Redskibs and couldn’t put up single figure against the three winning teams he played during the six game suspension and his “other win” was against the garbage Giants in a meaningless game to close out the season. Dallas won 4 games despite Dak.

Dak was straight garbage without Cooper despite the Cowboys winning 3 games in the “Dak-friendly” offense with his Quincy Carter records of futility. Than Stephen had to give away two first down draft picks to bail the mediocrity out.

If Dak is so bad Name 4 quarterbacks under 30 that are better than Dak either record wise or stat wise. Seriously.

He’s a top 5 qb both statistically and record wise. Only Jackson and mahomes come to my mind. Two first ballot hall of famers and MVPs.


Honest question, was romo ever considered a top 5 QB at any point in his career.

Name 4 QBs that have the same rosters he has.

Name 4 QBs that have the dominant OL and RG and the amount of man coverage this QB has..

Name 4 QBs that had Quincy Carter levels of mediocrity with Dallas before Cooper got here. Name 4 QBs that sucked as bad as Dak did when Zeke was suspended. Name 4 QBs that three 4 INTe returned for a TD in less than half a season like Dak.

Don’t give me these nonsensical stats that are pulled out the blue... Dak was 17th in the red zone last year and 22nd on the road despite having the ‘number 1 offense’ in garbage yardage last year. He’s been averaging around 50% since he’s been here. Utter garbage..

Give me 4 QBs that have the same rosters as him.. Like I said, name we QBs that were throwing for QC levels of futility when Cooper wasn’t here like Dak was.. or throwing for 100 yards against a garbage Commanders team when Zeke was suspended. Notice how you couldn’t dispute the actual facts of how garbage he was, including last year, when even Dak was throwing his teammates under the bus for the ‘struggling offense’, even when it was piling yardage up on garbage time...

Dak is neither the best QB nor the worst QB on the planet - you can win a lot of games with Dak but his limitations make it necessary to surround him with adequate protections and talent

Earlier in his career like his sophomore year absolutely. But he’s grown to the point he’s a top tier quarterback who is playing at a level Tony romo could never reach.

Put Dak on that 07,09, and especially that 14 team we make it to an NFC championship game minimum. Best part is we would’ve kept TO since we’d have a leader who teammates actually liked and got along with.

This is coming from a guy that thinks Columbo, Gurode and David were on the caliber of Frederick, Smith, and Martin with Garrett as a play caller. Who has TO ever gotten along with? TO would have trashed Dak after one game and Dallas would have blamed TO like they did Dez for Dak’s trash performances.

Dak was GARBAGE last year. Half of his TDs came against the Commanders and Giants. He struggled against the garbage Dolphins until Moore had to bail him out with half time adjustments of up tempo in the third.
