There is some truth to this, which is why I'm not too upset with the defense. And there's no doubt the coaches were planning to modify it as they went along and saw what works and does not work.
You can think, for example, that standing up gives Lawrence an advantage, but if he shows that it makes him slower off the ball or lose leverage, then you're going to want to put him back in a three-point. How long you wait to make that change is debatable.
