His brain is excellent - he gets people to listen and talk about him every week.

He's not a journalist or reporter, he is an entertainer. Same thing as Skip.

The thought process isn't about giving real insight, it's about eliciting reaction, and they're both very good at it. The fact that they are good at it is an indictment of the public because of how many people watch them.

It's amazing to me that grown men still don't understand Stephen A + Skip's schtick.
Buffoonery, in his case, equals dollars in his pockets. I even admit to laughing when he wears a cowboy hat and chaps judt to diss the cowboys. Some folks need to lighten up.

Steven a will bring up whatever gets him the most views or clicks. Thats why he brings up contracts in terms of Romo. He was probably talking about how Romo got an extension from the cowboys. Which is true, but i'm sure it wasn't the top 3 money dak was offered.

Thats what steven a ignores because it doesn't fit his narrative. Right now he's only pro cowboy cause it looks good for him, if dak played poorly under that tag he would be the first to rip him.

It was the 2nd largest contract ever at the time (to Peyton's Denver contract which was also just signed if my memory is right).

Something is wrong with his brain he keeps talking about Tony Romo's contract like it has some relevance to the situation. is he just obsessed with Tony Romo or is he ret_rded. I think Tony Romo is renting space in his head. I think he goes to bed at night dreaming of Tony Romo.
Pretty sure the people who consume his content have a childrens brain.

Ok ok. Sounds right.

I just don't get steven a's point. Is he saying they don't like dak for some reason and liked Romo better? Like theres some other motive for them not liking Dak? Cause they offered dak alot of money. Even if the cowboys did think that way thats they're opinion. How can you blame them.

.....if he could talk about food in that way, he would, to bring ratings in. It's always about the Fiscal Dollar.

I assume that his point is that they took care of Romo, giving him a market to slightly above market deal but will not do the same for Dak despite them measurably being very similar in terms of abilities and if I had to pick which one was better I might go with Dak.

Considering that SAS is the highest paid on-air employee at ESPN, I’d wager his mind is a bit more mature than your own.

i havent listened in few weeks but going off your comments im betting hes using the fact that Romo was constantly on iR for a few years and it didnt keep him from getting paid and the numbers Dak are putting up even if they feel hollows are ROMO Like..

hes making point THAT DAKS INJURY SHOULDNT EFFECT HIS DEAL AS IT DIDNT ROMOS..

He talks with gingerbread paychecks and candy cane attention in his head.
And it works.

Oh, does it work.

He works you all over.

You’re watching or listening to him and talking about him. Apparently he is doing his job well. That’s all it is bro. As long as ratings are good and people keep doing that we will endure him.
I watched the clip on you tube. And there ratings suck. There getting ready to lay off hundreds of people.

He’s an idiot. He’s trying to push a certain narrative/agenda, which I won’t get into on this board. The facts are, Tony Romo’s deal was 18-20 million a year cheaper than what the Cowboys are looking at with Dak. The guaranteed portion of Dak’s deal alone (expected to be >100 million) would almost top Romo’s entire deal (6 yrs 108 million). Not to mention, it’s a different time, different team, different cap numbers etc. All that aside, wishing Dak well and a speedy recovery.

Stephen A Smith is very entertaining to listen to. I disagree with a lot of what he say’s, but he is one funny dude.
