Sorry...I didn't particularly mean you...."us" in general.

Dak gets "hammered" by only a few people. Jaylon probably deserves dished.
Ok Steve we can leave it at that. I could make you a list of the names of all the Dak deniers in here its more than a few but if i name them by name someone will delete my post and say don't name names and ill get a slap on the wrist. Since it isn't that serious. Next!

I don't care how much money these guys make. Get what you can get. It is fine by me. In a non salary cap world it would be a complete non issue. In a salary cap world the money you make is everything. team success depends on getting value out of the dollar. No one cares about the actual dollar value. People care about the impact that it has on the teams success. I don't know why but I feel like this is hard for some people to understand and is the cause of much confusion.

"What do you care how much Zeke makes it's not like it comes out of your pocket." This is an example of some of the most annoying statements that I see. I would like to see a system that converts their contract into something called "team shares". Each team would get 100 team shares. The number of team shares never changes. That way we never have to talk about how much money they make but there is a standardized method of determining how many team shares a player uses up each year. You could then easily convert production into teams shares and the values could be compared from year to year.

If RB x provided 1,000 yards per team share but RB y provided only 250 yards per team share I think it would be pretty easy to pick between the two. I have a feeling Zeke would be setting some all time records and not in a good way.
Then you contradict yourself, and there is a salary cap to work under.

For those of you who do not care how much money Zeke makes I would refer you to my post above. I know it is a bit longer than what you would typically like to read. For that I apologize.

A good post too. You hear it all the time. I'm glad he got his money, why should he care, owners don't care about him. Something to that effect.

IMO, any fan of the team should be on the owners side when it comes to contracts. If there was no salary cap, I'd be on the players side.

I know..I KNOW! A ton of zeke threads already. Plus...I've already disclosed I hate talking "money". Or personal issues of players (for the most part...they are humans too). BUT....I did pick up this article....and my hope is that we stay on the contract money part...and kind of avoid personal attacks and insults.

I found the article very refreshing..a very objective viewpoint....but staying very focused on the topic. There are links in there about assessing Zeke performance over the course of his career (great) and th elast year and half (not so great).

I hope you find this interesting or at least entertaining:

I don't think anyone is happy with Zeke's performance but 15 mil a year isn't going to hurt too bad. I would be more concerned about Amari for 20 mil a year.

Hmmm...my compliments. A fresh perspective. Overpaying other players. Who would have thought....

I care about salaries because there's only so much money to pass around.

A few bad contracts, and this team is toast ... as you can see from this year's performance.

LOL.

So basically, just watch games and shut up. Don't discuss your favorite team (unless you want be a total homer like you are), don't point out flaws, don't criticize players, don't question the roster, etc.

Why even watch the games? We don't get paid for watching.

no we dont , we as fans watch football , that It ..follow your favorite players, water cooler talk, trash talk, attend games wear jerseys etc.. we are NOT agents, FO, owners ,or have anything to do with Money and contracts.. do you own stock in the DC? I doubt it they dont sell it last i checked so it not our concern what player makes..
never should this come into play for Fan, you want to discus it. go ahead, its moot point we are not here to worry about the cap..teams are fielded we watch it...that is IT!

Speak for yourself blueblood, not for others. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean others don't understand it. Just because it doesn't interest you doesn't mean it can't interest others.
Maybe "that is IT" for you, but that is NOT IT for everyone.
Those cap figures and contracts are not secret, they're available to whoever is interested enough to look it up.
Get over it blueblood, your way is not the only way.

again whining about things you cant control that have zero to do on game day when the pads come on , its about the players wearing the uniforms that we route for. What they make has zero to do with the game itself, fans watch the games , what the owners, Gm, and FO do wit the money is far outside of what sports are there for..

you all snitched for 10yers about Garett and for 10 years it was wasted breath, time wasted on what you cant control..jerry got rid of him hen he wanted not when the fans wanted and contracts are the same..

fandom is abbot watching games, debating plays,. debating play calls, performances, trash talking with OTHER Teams fans, and just discussing football or whatever sport you happen to be in heated debate about....

the Money has zero to do with that and the people running the organizations no full well what they are doing whether you feel they are mistakes or not, its not your wallet, did zekes take your money? No he didnt he played football at high level , worked his butt off for most likely 8-9 years prior to the nfl FOR FREE and then came in and was the best RB for his first 3 years now he leveraged a lifetime deal that was long time coming.. its not concern for use because its not goig away, hes paid, hes starting, and will do so at least another season..

so whine away its waste of time...love him hate him but his $$$$ means nothing in the grand scheme of the game..nothing they have that under control up at the Star,,Just because its public information doesnt mean you know how to run a cap or a Pro Organization.. none of the deals Jerry has made the past 5 years will hold the team back, theres plenty and they know how to massage the cap, they can have whatever they feel they want and get it all under the cap..

so again it means nothing..

"for the love of the game"

A completely random question.

Do the Cowboys display the Lombardi trophies in an area of The Star that fans can see? Or does Jerry keep them in his office like the picture above shows? Are there multiple copies of the Lombardi?

At this point we are basically priced in to have to keep Zeke for two more years. If we didn't do the extension we could have let him walk after this season. Still can't believe paid Zeke and Jaylon early but let Byron walk.

Amari can an least be a game breaker when given the opportunities. Zeke cannot make anyone miss in space. He's actually hurting the team more than helping them. The offense is better with pollard
