There has been way to many times I've seen Elliott just run straight ahead and run into a pile of bodies but if he cut and went one gap over there looked to be more room to run and get more yardage.
.
.
And still averages well over 4 YPC. Dammmmm, he must be even more studly than I thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They compliment each other really well. Zeke and the oline wore the Vikings out yesterday which set Pollard up for the home run.

Zeke kept the offense on track the whole game, no surprise that he got 100 yards after they got Steele off the field.

Actually it's the other way around.. We run Zeke out of shotgun spread TOO much. It has been over 40% of his carries coming into yesterday's game. The reason it doesn't work is simple.. When he's in the game the defense doesn't believe you're going to do anything EXCEPT give him the ball. So they all run to him the minute the ball is snapped. When Pollard's in the game and we go spread the defense is thinking pass and playing pass. When we give it to him in those formations the defense is far less likely to be run blitzing, affording him more opportunity to get to the second level untouched. I mean the TD he went untouched.. Not one defender even got a finger on him. The one guy who could have apparently had a brain freeze and stood flat footed as Pollard ran by. The problem with bringing in all those TEs is that none of them is really any great shakes at blocking. In fact they kinda suck at it. So all bringing them in does is clog things up. They often completely whiff on their man forcing Zeke to beat a man the second he takes the handoff. I think our most successful runs come out of one TE sets.. We also don't have "great" blockers at receiver either. Lamb did a good job on Pollard's run but generally our receivers let the guy go too soon and their man makes the tackle ..

No one got a hand on Pollard because he had great vision and simply hit the hole too fast. Then ran away from everyone. Zeke either goes right up the middle for a 3 yard gain or tries to run over the first guy and gets tackled for 5-7 yard gain.

Zeke simply cant do what Pollard does. Give Pollard 20 carries and he will make Zeke look like a chump.

Guess who has more yards.

Zeke has only 31 more yards rushing than Hunt, but Zeke has 24 more carries -- not sure you want to use that as your metric of success.

Zeke: YPC = 3.95, YPR = 6.55, TD: 7, Fumbles: 4
Hunt: YPC = 4.38, YPR = 6.86, TD: 8, Fumbles: 1

And Hunt also isn't even the primary back in that system. Would you still automatically take Zeke? What if I told you Hunt is getting $6.6m/year vs. Zeke's $15m/year? I know some people love Zeke, but just like with Dak, the question isn't "Is he a good player?", the question is whether he good enough for the contract.

Zeke didnt set up diddly. Pollard is just that fast.

Zeke failed once again on key short yardage and key GL runs. They had to go to misdirection plays because he was so bad at it.

Both Hunt and Chubb are better than Zeke. I take both over Zeke.

Bull, Zeke and company was pounding the Vikings for 3 1/2 quarters, if you don't think that had an affect on the defense your nuts.

Zeke has been mediocre this year. The OL has been mostly bad.

The oline has been up and down. When down, they were bad. But they've spent a lot of time ok and better too. Most recently up.

Mediocre. Is he even worth the 12mil it would cost to keep him for the next two years? I say no.

dudes dont get what it means to have a banger at RB that beats up on defense 20+ times game, stays in to block, goes out for passes. Then the change of pace back gets 10 or under touches and has a nice play of two..its called fresh legs and worn defense..Pollard is NOT zeke and never will be starter..its obvious to most the more carries you give him that nice average goes down..

the haters weekly simply wait to jump on zeke who is clearly better then pollard, pollards ben backup up his entire career and that his best spot....I wish them both luck but pollard cant do what zeke does, PERIOD..

why do fans have to rip and knock zeke down to compliment pollard? why not simply both had great games that ked to a win.. the troll azz haters cant resist being trolls it bad character and just plain being a tool..

horrible fans in here..always trying to tear down their own payers to suit their narratives instead f just taking the high road and say great game by both..
You call them the haters, but I think you miss the point.
Those that you reference as such are haters of the contract and build model more than the player.
Honestly cant say that Ive ever come across another Cowboys enthusiast that doesnt recognize Zeke as an exceptional RB still.

You would rather have Hunt? What was your point in comparing the two players with only a half season? Why not take a look at their body of work? Probably because it would interrupt your cherry picking. It's not even worth debating why I would take Elliott over Hunt because there are certain fans that have their mind made up on hating on a player and all they can come up with is something they have no clue on or control over - salary.
Obviously, averages are effected by frequency. Elliott has so many more yards rushing and receiving there's no debate. He also has twice the starts.
I wasn't a fan of drafting a RB with the 4th over all or extended his contract early, but just like what the owner pays him, it's out of my control and it's a weak angle. It's not your money. And to compare a RB on his rookie contract to one who's extend is disingenuous.

Why does Derrick Henry still hit big plays and Zeke doesn't?

I'd rather have Kareem Hunt then Zeke.

For as great as Zeke is we have no hardware to show for it. Nothing. Maybe 3.5 yards and a cloud of dust is not the way?
…...we ain't had no hardware for over 20 years????
