It’s only going to get worse now that you have that albatross of a contract that was doled out to Zeke. It’s a valid critique too, you spent a #5 pick o a RB when there were options to make your defense better by going with a stud like Ramsay at corner. Plus you could have gotten Henry with the second round pick, a cheaper option but certainly one that sees no massive drop off in production.

#4 overall, ..not #5 .....please get it right ..

and of course several of you will revert to hindsight and voice Now, ..but not many were saying this at draft time.

I was defending Z before the fumbling. There is no excuse for that. I'd attribute it to pure laziness.

Everyone on this board wants him to succeed but it still doesn’t change the fact you don’t draft running backs that high. Also paying him that much money and he looks lackadaisical on the field just makes it so much worse.

Actually I don't recall many people advocating for taking Zeke that high, in fact many people were asking to trade down and stockpile picks or go with Ramsay. Heck wasn't that the summer where we had the president of the Derek Henry fan club on here?

Maybe Zeke can ask Henry to teach him how to stiff arm this off-season.

ironically the rumor was the parties of the Cowboys defense was even advocating for the selection of Zeke as an elite RB added to an elite OL
would bring a dominant run game that would not only aid a downhill Cowboys defense, while wearing out the opposing defense.

A suspect run game NOW. After Zeke was easily top three, if not the best in the league over most of his career to this point. What he's done doesn't get thrown out to suit your narrative. Zeke came in and was immediately one of the tops back in the league. He's tapered off this season, which you can attribute to numerous things, but there's no arguing over the course of his career he has unquestionably been one of the best in the league. I wouldn't have taken him #4, but dude has balled his *** off and deserves the credit. He's not the one who took himself #4.

In today’s NFL he’s not worth the money.

Why do you guys struggle accepting that?

This is fine but the only thing that matters is Dallas getting rid of Zeke with the least cap damage as possible. Never pay a RB.

Awww, you poor deluded kool-aid swilling child - sitting around saying that the Cowboys have way more pro-bowlers isn't a fact, it's just fictional make believe, like wrestling.

Then list the real data and prove me wrong. You can't, because you are a blind hater making things up as you go along.

I was a fan of Zeke and defended him a ton, and even I didn't think he was worth anywhere near what we paid him.

Can one of you photoshop guys make a Venn Diagram of the people who said "The Cowboys are idiots to pay Zeke" along with a circle of the people who said in 2015 "The Cowboys were idiots to let DeMarco Murray leave in free agency"?

Oh wait, its just one circle for both groups. No need for the diagram.

You’ll also remember people talking out their rear saying “but he (Ramsey) doesn’t even have any interceptions....he doesn’t have the hips....he’s a safety...” leading up to the draft.

Henry was and is clearly the better draft pick, better player, better person, harder working, dedicated etc.
and he didnt demand to be the highest paid lol, that says a lot .

W/ Z's skillset, he should be better than Henry. Sad that he is not.

Zeke stinks and Henry is a beast. We get it. It is plain to see.
Jerry caved and paid Zeke when he didn't have to.
Now the team as to suffer as Zeke can't even hold on to the ball.

I no longer worry about Zeke doing something stupid off the field and getting suspended. I assume the contract and guaranteed money would void. Party away and enjoy your low key fades.

Although Zeke stinks so bad that maybe Goodell won't even bother suspending him this time to punish the Cowboys. Sort of like Crawford when he sucker punched a bouncer. No worries Crawford, just continue collecting your bloated paycheck with no production.

When Zeke signed his extension they had both been in the league three years. Henry had 2,665 yards of total offense and Zeke had 5,247 even after missing half a season with Goodell's BS suspension.

Twice the production in 17% fewer games is part of the pay disparity.
