He seemed to know where the play was going before the snap , and called the defensive alignment appropriately more often than not. That suggested to me he did his homework and had good read recognition. As an armchair GM, that seemed to me to be a good fit for coaching.
So,based on that, make him a DC in the pros.

I guess that makes Jaylon and LVE qualifying too......like Lee, they just can't get there in time to make the play or clear themselves of traffic. Or every LB in the league assigned to make the calls. Hmmm.

Nope....but its amazing a man with no coaching experience would be entertained. That's weird.....and the Rooney Rule is weird too, because it's a farce. I guess the other players looking at film doesn't get merit....at all.....on this team. JJ already invested in the OJT program for his coaches. JWitt up next.
Bro... Witten was offered a quality control job. That’s literally the bottom of the basement coaching wise and if Lee is offered the same it would be great as his film study is top notch. He’s not just “looking at film” lmaooo have no idea why you’re oversimplifying this he’s an elite film studier, not another everyday run and hit LB. No one is going from player to HC man not even player to coordinator.

You’re mad because he’s getting a chance to begin a coaching career? And I assume you don’t believe any of the people who have predicted he’ll be coach after he finishes playing?

Dude’s been a mental football savant since college lol if anyone deserves a chance to coach it’s him bud.

I disagree. I don't think either of them have the quality that Lee has regarding that. Lee was a stopper. LVE and Jaylon have shown flashes, but not with the consistency I've since in Lee.

Sean Lee in his prime showed he was one of the smartest football players out there and was known for his film study and understanding of the game but hey lets knock him now because his body has let him down.

And the Rooney rule is brought up because McCarthy said we should talk. What a joke! Hey lets worry about the color of somebody's skin instead!

I'd take Sean Lee as a quality control guy 8 days a week. The way this guy watches film and breaks down opponents, hell yeah.

I would have taken Lee over Nolan weeks ago. Let's see what he can do. I bet he can do a lot.

I remember a sideline scene from a few years back. I think Romo was announcing. pointing out the discussion between Lee and one of the coaches, saying that *Lee was explaining* how their scheme just couldn't work on the play they just gave a TD up on. Romo agreed with Lee. My money is on Lee and not our coaches.

If we wanted to be better *this year*, I would have had Lee out there. However much his play has dropped off, I don't expect him to have the same confusion we see across the defense, and we'd probably see less of it in *other players* with Lee on the field to help them.

Yes, lads, get the good ol' boy system going for this terrible athlete who feels entitled.
Ignore 1,000 other coaches WITH EXPERIENCE!
Sean Lee coach in the NFL now?
:lmao2:

"Muh emoticons" are not an argument.

You want to argue that Lee would have been worse than Nolan, knock yourself out. If Lee coaches in the NFL, I bet he's a good one.

Really.....the lovefest is embarrassing. Can't stay on the field, and when he does, he looking like Jaylon and LVE.....lost, whiffed, out of position, or simply ran over. Easy Money.

Oh hey look, you're hating on another white player.

How about no experience coaching at all...….would that disqualify?...... or overridden due to loyalty and privileged for the opportunity?

Genius, a good % of coaches in the league are former players. HURR DURR.

There is no coaching college, you gain experience by playing the game. Guess what? These coaches, former players, get to where they are due to connections. You're an idiot, and I don't care that that breaks the rules here, you're one and you know it.

Lee was the General because of his knowledge. He knew what offenses were doing because he studied film. If he can translate that to players...I am for it. Of course not a DC, but at least give the man a chance at entry level
Entry level in public schools;)
