This game reminds me of the greatest game I ever saw and it just so happens it was between these two teams and the last game of the season and the Cowboys weren't fighting for the playoffs but the division and homefield in order to defend their title and it became known as the "Emmitt Game" and the only time John Madden ever went into a locker room to greet and shake a player's hand.

It was the hardest fought game these two teams have ever had and they were exhausted at the end of it. So was I, my wife had stopped watching the game and was watching me. She told me I had tears streaming down my face at the end of that game and I did. It wasn't just Emmitt putting the team on his shoulder, it was the entire game and as much as I wanted to win, all I could do was look at those Giants, spent to a man and think there wasn't a loser to this game. And I feared I would never see this again and I never have. That was when it was the old game, a real slugfest up and down the lines and not the track meet the game has become.

I am on a roll, I was all in on that game yesterday and some of the old fire got rekindled, the Cowboys will win. Don't know about those pesky WFTers but they swept the Cowboys and that doesn't sit well with me. If the Cowboys miss it, they will have deserved that.

I'm just going to put an (*) by the draft position.

(*) = Did not give up. Not part of team tank.

I'm anticipating that it's always possible that Washington may win over Philly but anything can happen. Hurts will do all he can to make up for his swoon last week and Peterson will be coaching for his job. I'm expecting a well played game by both Philly and Washington. I'm hoping for the same when we travel to NY to play vs. the Giants. If Alex Smith plays for Washington, it's no lock he'll be at his best. Plenty can occur in that scenario.

Dallas has every just cause to play their hearts out. The Giants will also want to end their season on a good note with a win. I have no pre-conceived idea of what to expect, knowing anything can happen on the road. It'll be an exciting game, though, whatever comes of it. Here's hoping we'll all enjoy our last game of the regular season and hope for a great showing vs. the Giants. Let's just sit tight, enjoy the game and hope for the best. ;)

Come on, we're all thinking it. Incidents of "almost had it" have been the experience of fans old and new with this team. Counted out then come roaring back only to fall short or get out in front and then collapse at the end. Either over the course of a season or within a single game we have to have. We've done it all, lol.

What do YOU think will happen next Sunday? We win and then Washington is down their whole game only to win on a Hail Mary on the final play? A "gift" from the officials somewhere in the mix (what would the Goodell-Mara syndicate want, lol)?

So does the "Cowboys" thing happen next week or won't it? Give your predicted scenario either way.
meh it was lost season after dak went down and the injury list went 17 deep...

so i take whatever happens Sunday like Meh..at least we made it entertaining at the end in a very tough year personally, as country, and in sports..sports take back seat to the first 2 so to have little positivity late

I'm cool with whatever happens as most here already settled in and ne wit was lost season 10 weeks ago..so keeping that in mind, im looking forward to 2021 :) its very very close now.

this is like when you turn in our two weeks notice at job you hate and its the last day of that 2 weeks, those are great work days..whatever happens im skipping out in gleee LOLo_O:rolleyes:

Its finally going to be over..the titanic finally sank after watching for 4 hours but someone will survive to tell the story, thats the NFCE :omg::laugh:

So many typical Cowboys things could happen. Beating the Giants and the NoNames beating the Dirty Birds that same night to eliminate us would be quite typical.

Most Cowboy thing to happen is to lose to a horrible Giants team and Philly pulling out the win

I think Alex Smith plays and WAS gets a win over Philly, unfortunately.
I also think we beat NYG.

Hope I'm wrong. But the question should be is what the day is for a typical Cowboy fan waiting for the outcome. We get excited all week long, Sunday arrives. Everyone in their Cowboy game outfits ready to go and the team isn't:facepalm: Washington loses Sunday night and we muse about what could of been.........

We'll be down early, but rally to win. Wentz plays the second half or more and Philly wins. And we ride off into the sunset with number six on the shelf.

Washington loses and then we fumble the ball on the goal line exactly like the Eagles did to go up by 7 late in the 4th, it’s ruled a fumble, NY gets the ball. It’s 4th down and NY’s Daniel Jones runs 99 yards without tripping for a TD. We lose the game and the same fans who think the fumble against the Eagles was legit then cry foul over the fumble saying the officials hate us and Goodell wanted his favorite team to win.
