Problem with this statement is that some teams have something called a DEFENSE!

Let's beat this dead horse again.

NOTHING changes until the Jones' sell the team. Which, is never happening. So, sit in the pits of hell with us. Or, find another team. Those are the options...

Now, now, I am not telling anyone to find a new team. I am just giving the real deal of this franchise.

Just because I've been sitting in the pit of hell with Dallas for 25 years. Shouldn't stop me from complaining how HOT hell has been.

Not really. I knew the defense was bad. I knew the offense was good, Sounds like 8-8 for me. A better coach could of gotten us to 10-6. That being the case. Mike McCarthy IMO is still the wrong hire. How do you vote on that?

McCarthy’s gambling and bad choices probably cost two games in hindsight. I am ok with McCarthy. I preferred a college coach with Run pass option expertise. Urban Meyer was my second choice. My first was Clemson OC Tony Elliot. The college game is coming to the NFL. It is what the players are used to. McCarthy is just a bridge to that. McCarthy was the safe pick. Jerry needed to channel his inner wildcat.

Can't argue with this....But safe usually gets you 8-8. Garrett was a safe pick also.

Well, you are free to walk out of hell. 31 Other doors are open. And you can spend time looking for solutions and ideas for improvement, players to draft, plays to run, formations, etc.

Ah....NO......But you are free to keep putting up with mediocrity.....I prefer to at least try to add idea's how to get out of it. Even though I know it may not happen. I believe they call that hope.....

Tony Elliot was the better motivator and innovator in my opinion. Good story about him going from nothing and homeless to success. Davi like Saban got it too good to leave.
I like Eliot. I just like Dabolls resume at BUF.
He’s doing it with great success at the NFL level.

Get with the times. McCarthy studied all of the football while away from the game. He's ahead of the curve. You don't need a defense to win. Last I checked, they won six games in just his first season.

How'd they do that? More points than the opponent. Works every time.

I'm in the same place, for around 30 years or so. Never said you shouldn't, but, you've realized before this time what the TRUE problem is. Even if you did come aboard right about the time "They" took over the team.

Get a new GM. That's not happening so I guess what I say next is pretty mute also. But I can dream. What Dallas need to do before they even draft another player is to get a great head coaching hire. Since Johnson and Big Bill. We NEVER had a coach worth his wait in failure. I mean not to moan and groan. Why not though after nearly 25 years of mediocrity and losing. And anybody who disagreeing with me. Has to realize how many sorry butt to average teams have turned it around while Dallas continues to be Dallas. Year after year:facepalm: I mean the friggin Cleveland Browns are in the playoffs and more respectable now then Dallas. And with a lucky win they tie us in as far as we've ever gone in nearly 25 years. So for me I really could careless about the draft or trades etc. Seen it for 25 years over and over yet every year here we are. I'm gonna always be a Dallas Cowboy fan team wise. But as far as this organization goes? In my mind they are none existent sorta like a winning season anymore in Dallas. I don't think big Mac Mike is the right hire. I could of swore I was watching Jason Garrett 2.0 at times out there. Dallas needs to go get a young coach who can bring in new idea's and have been battle tested as Oc's or DC's. Even the Browns coach would of been a better hire then Big Mac Mike. He at least gave us one of our best O lines and rushing numbers when he was here in Dallas. Big Mac Mike IMO is just another puppet coach Jerry can pull the strings on. Same with Nolan. What on God's green Earth possessed Jones to go along with this hire??? Guy never was a good DC. Been out of football like Big Mac Mike had. And Jerry hires them. The only people I feel more sorry for the us Dallas fans. Are the players who have to practice and try to win under this brain dead organization and the non coaching guys they bring in.
Peace.

Jerry doesnt need to step down as much as he needs to just shut up.

Theres been plenty of "qualified GMs" who have failed elsewhere. If anything, player selection hasnt been awful, but the culture that's been created with him being accessible to players and forming relationships has IMO made a coaches job impossible.

Jimmy Johnson, while endorsing Garrett as a candidate in Detroit, said Garrett was in a "tough situation" in Dallas.

What exactly did he mean by that? The players were here.

Jerry's idea that he is the man and not the HC is a real problem. He thinks this can be overcome and it cant.

What he needs to do is get off the damn radio and publicly tell everyone to talk to MM about the team.

That'll help anyway.

But he is only doing this to be a celebrity so I'm not moved by emotional speeches. It's a load of pure crap.

I think despite everything the arrow is pointing up.....or at least that's what I want to believe as a cowboys fan....perhaps Jerry is hurting enough to kind of step back and refocus.....just a little.

I would like to see a draft where all our focus is on defensive players.....I don't want any offensive players...I don't want Pitts, Smith or any other offensive player except perhaps Sewell if he drops for any reason and I doubt if he does, I would take him....

hopefully Jerry just slightly sees the defensive problems and will focus the organization on drafting defense. I hope we don't reach for another project in the second round and draft a solid contributing player. no more gregories, jaylon smiths, sean lees and Hill's......

the offense is set....with Dak coming back hopfully, the offense is going to be fine.....
add a few defensive pieces (non in FA) and hopefully this defense goes from historically bad, to just bad.....and this team can be competitive.....
