2 first round picks for any player you have to listen. We don't know what the alternative options would bring, but it would give you an opportunity to draft the 3rd best QB in a strong class, move the pick for more comp and still get a QB or roll with Tua. Or do something crazy and go get Watson. All this while addressing defense. Dak still has the 7th best QBR in NFL history so big shoes to replace him regardless. I guess the question here is can he wind up having a career similar to many on the this list or is he someone in the Cousins, or Romo range? Very good QB, but not on a Hall of Fame trajectory?

1 Patrick Mahomes 108.7 2017-2020 kan
2 Deshaun Watson 104.5 2017-2020 htx
3 Aaron Rodgers 103.9 2005-2020 gnb
4 Russell Wilson 101.7 2012-2020 sea
5 Drew Brees 98.7 2001-2020 2TM
6 Kirk Cousins 97.9 2012-2020 2TM
7 Tom Brady 97.3 2000-2020 2TM
Dak Prescott 97.3 2016-2020 dal
9 Tony Romo 97.1 2004-2016 dal
10 Steve Young+ 96.8 1985-1999 2TM
11 Peyton Manning 96.5 1998-2015 2TM
12 Philip Rivers 95.2 2004-2020 2TM
13 Matt Ryan 94.5 2008-2020 atl
14 Ben Roethlisberger 94.0 2004-2020 pit
15 Kurt Warner+ 93.7 1998-2009 3TM
16 Joe Montana+ 92.3 1979-1994 2TM
17 Derek Carr 92.1 2014-2020 rai
18 Ryan Tannehill 92.0 2012-2020 2TM
19 Jared Goff 91.5 2016-2020 ram
20 Chad Pennington 90.1 2000-2010 2TM

People legitimately think Dak had his leg amputated in here..my goodness..bad injury? Definitely. Long term impact on performance? Absolutely not. Get over yourselves

The Dolphins would be morons to offer us that deal.

You absolutely do that.

Free of Daks contract..

The #3 pick.

The 2nd QB taken last year and another first round pick.

That is how you team build and passing on that deal would be beyond idiotic.
I'm behind you 100% on this one C man.

That's because I choose not to partake in this endless Dak yapping. It goes nowhere.

Dak is very good. He is not elite. There is little to choose between him a Watson. In the end, he will get Watson money.

And in a couple of years, after Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen get paid, it will look like a good deal
As long as he get's Watson money somewhere else and we get 2 1st for him, I'm cool.

Otherwise I'd be okay with 30 million/year, wouldn't like it but be okay with it.

By the way, I don't think Watson is worth what he got paid either.

On the Break they discussed Dak to Dolphins for Dolphins 2 first round picks this year and Tua for Dak. I believe one of the picks is the third overall. Of course they would not do the trade because they are all Dak Homer's pulling the Jerry company line. I happen to know a group of Dolphins fans so I asked them if they would do it. They did not seem very high on Tua and actually said they would do it. Perhaps Dak is valued higher by other fan bases than ours. I definitely found it interesting and thought I would share it. Personally I do not know enough about Tua but can you imagine if he was serviceable. You would get a young QB on the cheap. You could pick 3 times this year in the first round and you could spend Daks 40 million on free agents. IMHO this is how you build a winner. Dak is very good but IMHO he is not untouchable like a Mahomes or Rodgers.
There's no one on the cowboys worth two 1st round picks. So, yeah, if that offer come across Jerry's desk, he better take it, before they come to their senses, and change their mind.
I'd even consider trading Dak for Tua, straight up.

First off I know groups of fans from other NFL cities, cities I once lived in and it would be extremely foolish of me to ask any of those groups who are such minuscule percentage of fans for those teams their opinion on things and then think those opinions represent the majority of fans for that team.

Next those On The Break didn't go for that because it was nothing more than if this dream actually happened and they know that dream would never happen. It's like one of those Dave Dameshek N "IF" L series that only happens in someone head.

I mean.. Players thought Josh Allen wasn’t good too.

Tua is going to be fine.

30 TDs and 9 picks like Dak would be no problem for him and he’s a much more gifted passer.

Easy trade.
Tua is basically Jared Goff. The version of him his coach couldn't cover up for. Having 4 top 15 picks at WR made him look alot better than he is.

If I do this trade, I take a QB at 3. They can keep Tua. I don't want to waste time figuring out Tua cant play

sorry you have missed the point entirely. Is there some desperate GM out there that will pay for Dak Prescott? Yes. Does your team need to be the team to shell out money for mediocre talent? No.

Show me some statistics that prove Dak is mediocre.

There are only about 8 quarterbacks you want at any one time.

4 quarterbacks that you want now.
2 quarterbacks that you still want from the previous 4 quarterbacks that you want now.
2 quarterbacks currently in the league who will be in the next 4 quarterbacks that you want now.

Everyone else is spare.

So that's:

Mahomes, Allen, Wilson, Watson? Jackson?
Rodgers and Brady
Mayfield, Gilbert or whomever you wish.

Where does Dak fit?

I'm the ignorant troll who for 2 years now has stated Dak would not get a long term deal.
Pray for another Tag(Highly unlikely) as Dak had his chances and fell flat on his ankle opps meant to say face.
Unless he accepts a contract lower than Goffs and Wentz (If one is offered) he is history.
Now continue your insults but remember.......Dak is still unsigned!:omg:

Where did I insult you? Point out the exact phrases I used.

I am merely stating the facts. Dak will get $30m or more, and it’s ignorant to say otherwise. According to the “reports”, he was already offered more than that.

And how did Dak fall flat on his “face/ankle”? The statistics prove otherwise.

No team in the NFL wants Dak at 30+ million a year.
The only buffoon GM in the NFL is ours and he is inept enough to give Dak millions once again.

You should learn to speak for yourself. Wishcasting is all I see here.

I never understand how/why our fans place such high value on Dak for trade/other teams but NOT as our starting QB.
