Here is how I works, sailor:
Stay at mediocrity where you don't win a Super Bowl but not bad enough to where fans are repelled.
In the meantime, keep the foolish fans hopeful for NEXT season and sell them lots of merch and give endorsement sponsors the "America's Team" b.s.
Works verrrrry well for the Jones family.

Well, at least success lies in the eye of the beholder and Jerry-o seems to have found his holy grail.

Really never heard of this song. But i know the The Cranberries. Of course.

I remember when my friend parted with his girlfriend we both drove home from a vacation. And on a 2 hour trip i had to listen to Zombie on a loop because he felt so bad.

I guess thats what friend are for.

Our division is terrible so unless Washington gets their QB position sorted then we should win it.

Problem is we are no threat to a Super Bowl. Our best outcome would be winning a wildcard game before getting smacked around in the divisional round.

That is our lot in Jerry World. 8-9, wildcard. Trounced. Happy with a playoff game and salivating for next season under a dunce coach and his almost octogenarian, drunk master.
Sell merch. Make another billion from stadium buffoons and endorsers. Talk big.
Repeat.
