yeah he was bad, real bad.
the nyg coach beat him in the win and maybe in game, rivera won the div, and the new philly coach, is unknown, but from a good tree.
So I would rank mm # 3 in div, but that could change depending on what philly does early on.

To me MM SB win is about like switzers SB win, won with a team someone else built, and then he had best qb in nfl for decade
and could not get back to a SB.

really!?!

Rivera wins the division with 7 wins against the Cowboys one of the most injury devastated teams in the league and Philly not far behind and the Gnats well are the giants BY ONE GAME and thats good?!,

lmao..get out of here with that mess.. Rivera got fired as well and hasn't done squat in five years one great season doesnt make either coach..they both have a lot to prove

the fact MM won 6 games with this mess even with some mistakes, i get it, is ridiculous to say he was terrible, a one game difference..

Its not like Rivera won 10 games he was 7-9 MM 6-10 and we had by far twice the injuries they had..thats good and MM is bad..???

dude park the hate in another spot, common sense they are about even all said and done and when they go head to head with an even roster we will have that tie broken.. Rivera should not be heralded for winning one more game then us, thats a negative man , common sense says open your blind eye and se they should have ran away with this division and took monumental injury list to the division for him to squeak out one more win.seriously??!

SMH

Ill say this, none ore the best..all have something to prove, period..the division was way down last year and no one had distinct coaching advantage..

all 5 teams were an embarrassment to the nfl last season , WFDT by default one game better at 7-9 is nothing to brag about, thats for sure..

You know....on one hand I have no issue with it because i'm questioning McCarthy myself.....but Eagles coach has done NOTHING to suggest he's better.

Its rather insulting that the one guy who actually has a Super Bowl as a head coach is the guy they say is the worst coach in the NFL. Regardless if he had Aaron Rodgers or not....Rodgers hasn't won a Super Bowl since he left with better rosters.....McCarthy deserves some respect in that regard.

Belichick without Brady hasn't worked out so far. McCarthy without Rogers hasn't worked out so far either.

I have no faith in McCarthy. I have no faith in Dak. And definitely don't have any faith in our defense. But 60% of me still believes we can win it all this season. Is that crazy or what?

McCarthy would have to win a Superbowl without Aaron before I can say he's a good coach.

In McCarthy's defense.....its not like Rodgers won a SB without him.....

fraud isnt right at all sorry he did get one Lombardy
6-6 in the post season since.
any other qb would not get a pass like he does.
he's a fraud....a coach killer.
and routinely comes up short in the play-offs.
and its always somebody elses fault.
never his own.
he's a fraud.

Why does winning a Super Bowl trump all other coaching results? That’s dumb.

For those of you that want to defend this, I would do some research first and think very carefully before posting your response.

Just because coach A won a Super Bowl doesn’t mean he’s better than coach B who hasn’t and I’ve seen a lot of people claim otherwise. The same can be said for QB’s.

how many head coaches has he burned thru now...2...he's on #3 now.
and yet......only 1 lombardi and a 6-6 play off record since.
any other qb would catch heat for that.

Man at some point people are going to sit back and re-think some of this stuff on Rodgers. He never had a dynasty he had to worry about. The path to the Super Bowl for the most part has always been there for him and he has won appearance. I know its tough in today's time but somehow someway....Eli Manning managed to do it TWICE......and win TWICE against a dynasty.

I'm just kind of baffled that McCarthy has the reputation of being the guy who road Rodgers coattails when he's done nothing without him.

McCarthy's entire time with the packers he had Rodgers. This is only his 2nd head coaching job and there is more than enough reasons why the Cowboys did poorly last season. I'm not saying McCarthy is the greatest coach but to draw anything from last season is foolish at best.

I was listening to sportstalk radio in the Philly area today and the two hosts agreed that Mike McCarthy is the worst coach in the division. Even took their coach over him because they said he has a chance to be good whereas McCarthy doesn't. I understand that it's Philly but is this the conventional wisdom throughout the league? I was very happy when they hired him because he has a pedigree and one covid-influenced season is not changing my mind. What are your thoughts?

McCarthy sucks. He adds nothing to the team. I expect us to be better because we shouldn't have as many injuries but that has zero to do with the HC.

Yeah and he was poor last year no doubt. Not doubting that. I'm just saying it takes some balls to say he's the worst coach in the division when he's the only one who has a Super Bowl as a head coach...

he's benefited almost his entire career from being in a horrible division.
easiest path of any one else.
yet the mighty undefeated unscored upon aaron rodgers has a .500 play off record post super bowl win and is 0-4 in conference title games?
and catches no heat for that?
not even on the cowboys fan message board?
no one.
not one single media mouth said after his super bowl win...well...thats it.
no more for the rest of his career.
they ALL proclaimed a brady like title run was coming.
and it didnt....despite year in and year out one of the best rosters in his conference.
brady accomplished more with less.
and rodgers catches a pass.
ALWAYS somebody elses fault.

Objectively, McCarthy is the best until proven otherwise. He has the skin on the wall, and he has multiple playoff appearances.

Maybe one of these other coaches -- or more than one -- will surpass McCarthy. But we deal in the known rather than the unknown.

I like Rivera a lot. But I think he has become a bit overrated. He is a fine coach. I'm not sure you can say he maximized his opportunities.

Philly sports radio- now there's a quality, trusted, and totally unbiased source.

To be honest I forget the name of the Eagles' new coach; the guy they rank ahead of Mike McCarthy.

lol.....

Mike McCarthy is easily the division's most proven Head Coach.
He's won 60% of his games and 10 playoff games.

Ron Rivera 54% of his games and 3 playoff games.

Philly doesn't even have a Head Coach. They hired a dude from the cheesesteak shop.
Giants have a ST Coach newly elevated.

They probably thought Jalen Reagor was a better receiver than Justin Jefferson too.
