Nice to add that depth in the 1st round with a linebacker that we have no clue if he can cover or not.

I guess we can just blitz the house since our pass coverage is going to be a big question Mark.
Teams don't need to pass when they know they can grab any journeyman rb off the street and chunk off 250+ on us.

It’s a passing league.. Who cares if they run.

Everytime Aaron Rodgers, Pat Mahomes, or any of these elite QBs turn around and hand it off it’s a W for the defense.

It’s not 1995.

That 250 happened in 2019.

Everyone, besides the stupid Cowboys, is trying to pass to win.

You sure as heck don’t use premium draft picks to try and get better at run defense lol.

Not unless you can't stop a guy like me from gashing you for 250 fresh off the couch!

Short of LVE making the Pro Bowl he is going to be either getting a short very small follow up contract or his walking papers

LVE is not in trouble of any kind.

He’s the only linebacker on our team that has proven he cover.

Parsons is a huge question mark.

People find one or 2 clips of him successfully covering someone and they try to act like it’s not an issue.

LVE is up for the challenge of a lifetime: Improve (considerably) or be out of the league. Same for Jaylon. Both our linebackers were epic failures last year.

LVE's success a couple of years ago...is ancient history.

Chances of picking up his fifty year option just dropped
Why is drafting Parsons bad news for LVE?

If I remember correctly, we run a 4-3 D, which means we need 3...not 2...LBs to start.

Sean Lee just retired, so who would be the 3rd LB if LVE were let go? That would leave us only with Jaylon and Parsons.

I believe LVE is very much needed, especially since starting material LBs don't grow on trees around here.

Competition may be a good thing. LV and JS will now have to up their game. Parsons reminds me of the Mike Tyson type of player you don't want coming down on you. We maybe should refer to him as Butcher Pete.

The drafting of Micah Parsons has no bearing on LVE's 5th-year option or Jaylons future with the Cowboys. We were getting thin at LB so the Cowboys filled a need. Will LVE get his 5th -year option? Probably not but that was always the case regardless of Parsons getting drafted or not.

Just my personal thoughts here... The only LBer this pick affected was Sean Lee. He no doubt was trusted enough by the Jones boys to know this was coming and it hastened his decision to retire. Out with one Penn State LBer and in with another. But The General will be around so I'm curious to hear what he has to say about Parsons being drafted.

We still have 10 more picks to go, so its a little early to say.

Are we going away from the 4-2-5 as our base this season?

the 3rd LB doesn’t play a lot otherwise.

Rams certainly proved that, and was truly demoralizing.
Day 2 is about DL and DB... in either order.

TJenkins is still on the board.

he’s not Slater, but would be a nice upgrade over Collins.

Yeah. Being able to run doesn’t make passing easier. This guy is a know it all who knows nothing.

If a team can gash you for 250 yards, that opens up the playbook and you will be facing a lot of play action passes.

Also. Parsons will be fine in coverage.
