If that happens it means we are committed to competition and not draft status. Before Parcells, we'd draft a crap player like Goodrich and despite everyone writing that he was clearly a bust and several coaches wanting to cut him, he stayed. Contrast that with 2004 when Parcells cut bait on Rodgers and Thornton very early (I believe the CB was cut after preseason despite being a 4th rounder).

A bad draft is only made worse by refusing to admit you had a crap draft
