Right now, I'm not sure anything better is out there........may as well let him and Rush duke it out. Just me, but I have more confidence in Rush. He knows this offense like the back of his hand.

The Cowboys have had veteran quarterbacks Jeff Driskel and Brett Hundley visit recently. It’s obvious Mike McCarthy would prefer a veteran quarterback behind Dak Prescott.

Dallas signed Andy Dalton last offseason, and Prescott missed 11 games with his right ankle injury.

The Cowboys, though, didn’t sign Driskel or Hundley, and Driskel since has signed with the Texans.

That leaves the team with Garrett Gilbert, Cooper Rush and Ben DiNucci behind Prescott. Those three have combined for two career starts. DiNucci and Gilbert each started a game for the Cowboys last season, their first career starts, and Rush has three career attempts.

I liked Gilbert, the guy hardly had any chance to practice. Looked better than Dalton to me... just one game but I saw enough. I think he has a gun...

Gilbert is just focused on what he can control. I wish him all the luck to keep his 2QB position.

I liked Gilbert's game last year. He might be able to win one or two games for us in a pinch.

..yes sir, I was majorly impressed with GG outing. I was surprised they didnt let him take the reigns from there.

FAT MIKE don't want Gilbert???? Why the h e double hockey sticks not?? He looked like an all-pro starter against Pittsburgh!!!! I hate our coach too. My last choice - another YES Man doing JErry's bidding.
Let Gilbert earn that spot in camp and he will!!!!!!! I HATE THIS TEAM'S FO. How did Dalton work out for you clowns eh.

yes I hope they keep GG as the # 2, and so far the guys they have looked at either wanted too much $ or did not look as good as GG.
After a full year and a hopefully normal TC and the PS games . GG should look good enough.

I'm a big fan. He was by far the best player in the AFF, and though it didn't last a season I seen him make plenty of NFL level throws and display good pocket awareness. He was poised in is Cowboy debut, and displayed some of that arm talent that caught my attention from the AFF.

Gilbert gives the WRs a chance, he pushes the ball down field aggressively...not dinking n dunking all game. That's what I like about him, he's trying to win oppose to trying not to lose.

His mobility gave him an edge over Dalton.

Unless this team is a serious Super Bowl contender and Dak gets hurt we don't need a back up QB that's going to win games. We need to lose out for draft position.

I am OK with Gilbert as the BU considering DeNucci and Rush are the only other 2 in camp. See what they do in TC before bringing in someone else. As who is really out there that would be different than them.

Cooper Rush just plainly sucks! He proved as much the few years he was here during The Clapper regime. How anyone would prefer Cooper Crushed over Garrett Gilbert is befuddling.

Gilbert is probably the best we can do. The guy has bounced around a lot; never going to be a quality starter but might be a quality backup.
