It definitely isn’t for everyone. See: Joe Montana. He was heavily sought, he tried really hard and said it was a big thing for him post-career, and he was absolutely brutal. He quit in the middle of a Cowboys telecast haha

He did?? I only remember him being a panel analyst...didn't realize he did color.

As i think Dan Quinn will do so well here as DC, that it will lead to another shot as a HC again, I was really interested in having Sean Lee on Quinn's staff as an top assistant,
en route to him having an eventual look as a DC.

But maybe the team will look at LB coach/asst defensive coach George Edwards as a possibility too down the road. o_O

This will give Sean a break from it all. If he is offered a spot. Take a year off. Then can come here to coach LB’s as an assistant next year. Give him a different perspective on things from the booth for a year.

It may be a bit of a distraction if he went right into coaching this season. Take some time away from the field.

I did not read the article yet, but is it a booth position or on a TV set. Either way it will be good for him.

I just hope Vin Scully doesn't show up at the studio during the game and knock sean out of his loafers during the game.

I didn't notice the part about CBS. He could end up in a panel discussion with Romo.

Having *both* of those guys break down a play would be sweet.

You think Sean Lee is a loafer wearer?
Does he listen to Yacht Rock?

While walking up the ramp to call his first game, he pulls a hamstring and is out for six weeks.

Why can't Dez and little Dallas get an analyst role? That mean ole "snake" Lee strikes again.

He should go into coaching.

He'll be much better than Witten as a media guy but his ceiling is probably Moose Johnston.

As a coach I think he could easily get D-Coordinator level in a few years and maybe HC eventually.

Media pays better but I think he would have a passion for coaching.
- LVEs quick success as a rookie was in larger part because Lee was his person coach.

Agree.

I just dont know if he wants a coaching job.

18 hour days, 24x7.

For less pay.

I think he would have a passion for coaching almost like playing based on his interviews and interviews with teammates and Cowboys coaches.

i agree, i see him as a Ron Rivera type HC. or even Mike Vrabel. ..Two other ex-LBs with great defensive knowledge. If this announcing gig does not turn out well, that is his real calling, and you are right, more his passion.
