Imagine how it makes all the other guys feel. They are getting paid peanuts compared to Jaylon. They crush the sled. He does not. He does not have to because he is Jerrys feel good story. Players get treated differently on this team depending on their relationship with the Owner. It is problematic and has been for quite a while.

Looks to me like he can squat about 3 bags of Lays potato chips. I mean the ones that come in the 12 pack for school lunches.

I have been watching this lack of burst on the field of play for years now. It is incredible that he still has a roster spot. Only in Jerry World.

It's incredible that the owner still thinks he has a great player and some around here still defend it. An NFL LB who can't take on or shed a block. The fact that we drafted him at 34 overall is still mind-blowing considering they weren't even sure if he'd ever play again, yup only in Jerry's tiny world!

At this point Jaylon is more of a mascot than anything. A mascot with an insane contract and a guaranteed roster spot. I would like to take this opportunity to personally apologize to all the other LBs on the roster on behalf of the front office. They do not deserve this. No one does.

Taking a roster spot is the most hurtful thing he’s doing right now. Money will always be there for Jerry. It’s not a monetary problem, it’s a roster problem.

I think he hits it up high, right in the 'arms', because he is trying to use leverage instead of power. Everyone else hits it in the body and drives up. Jaylon tries to lever it over from the top, like you would try and push a fence post over.

This lines right up with what we saw on the field last season, I don't see how you can put this guy on the field for regular snaps.

I’ll be very interested to see what happens with him, this year and next. I definitely think he will be cut and it will be interesting to see just how much less he gets in his next contract. I predict he’ll be yet another player that Dallas grossly overpaid and no one else will.

Knowing who they passed up hurts even more:

Jaylon Smith selected 34th overall by Dallas

DT Chris Jones selected 37th overall by KC
CB Xavien Howard selected 38th overall by Miami
HB Derrick Henry selected 43rd overall by Tenn (Dallas already picked Zeke at #4 which was a mistake)
WR Michael Thomas selected 47th overall by NO
LB Deoin Jones selected 52nd overall by Atlanta
OG Cody Whitehair selected 56th overall by Chicago

No...it's technique. Poor coaching. His leg is fine
No it isn't. He refuses to plant hard or land hard or dig in deep.. I'd show you video evidence again but what's the use at this point. You either see it or refuse to by now.
Just look at his highlights and breakdowns. Watch the lower legs and feet.
Then go watch some other NFL lber highlights. It's so obvious nit even funny.

Jerry once again outsmarted everybody!

Can we promote him to "Make sure every coach on the field has a nice pair of sunglasses so they can see well in the California sunlight during practice" assistant?

Its the leg man. Look he did as best as he could with nerve damage. He just cant generate the power off that foot its noticible in the videos

Yeah. It's just not there. At least not consistently. What's ironic is the irrational confidence that allowed him to fight through the injury and rehab to make it back will be to his detriment as he struggles with it going forward. Essentially someone from his corner will have to throw in the towel because I don't think he'll be the one to admit defeat and quit.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Well apparently the owner watches the film.

Maybe if you did the same you would see how much of an asset Smith is.
