He's not tradeable. The guy shouldn't be in the league. Which is just the harsh reality of having to play on one leg.

Giving him a 2nd contract is one of the most damning pieces of evidence that this front office, including Will McClay, doesn't have the slightest clue of what they're doing.
Will McClay is another "Yes" man........

------That was Jaylon Smith hitting the dummy? I actually thought it was Romo.

It did look like Romo.....Candice.

How did Jerry give this guy an extension?

this is the crap from fans that kill me. Pretending that hindsight isn’t 20-20 and y’all knew all along not to sign him. Jaylon played like an animal possessed in 2018 made the probowl and everything and it seemed like our linebackers were set for the next 8 years. There was zero indication he was just gonna fall off a cliff, that’s why Jerry gave him an extension

His hand placement is too high, that’s why he’s struggling with leverage. Watch where his hands strike compared to everyone else. You can even see the coach tell him about it in the video. It’s just shocking that this isn’t instinctive for him at this point.
Is it?

Ok this is the first time I actually feel bad for the guy. He can’t retire because he’d be giving up millions of dollars. This might be his last season in the NFL.

I’m sure he’ll find a job with another team. they’ll do the smart thing and play the guy for like 10% of the snaps. He will NEVER be a “center piece” for anyone.

Watch Jaylon get completely stonewalled by the first heavy bag of the Gridiron Gauntlet Pro Bowl 2020 - You actually have to push 3 bags and he couldn't push one. Goto 43 seconds and play on slow mo. He's tip tapping his left leg instead of driving. It even drop foot dragged a couple of times.

And he still can't push and generate impact in 2021 in practice against a sled. Sad.

Jaylon ain't right.

Does that look like a guy who can generate impact to blitz or set an edge?
People keep wanting to create some role for Jaylon, but he's just too physically limited for any role as a LB.

If something is truly wrong with his foot he should retire. He’s made enough money.. I personally wouldn’t go out there and embarrass myself and my brothers.

Don't need to. It's not personal. It's about his performance on the field. Pitiful. Weak...especially for a veteran supposed starting LB who is also the highest paid, by far, out of the whole LB group.

You're OK with that?
You be you.
